I'm sure some of their fans are experiencing the same paradox that we did sometimes, almost hoping that they will do worse at times so that there's a chance they will change manager.

They can't keep hitting jackpot forever. There are some good players in there still, some good youngsters aswell, but when your wage budget is that low it's very hard to stay up there for a long time. This is actually something that they brought up in the documentary about us on amazon prime. That being said, I'm sure they could end up becoming a stable mid table team. I just don't see them becoming a regular European side.

Personally I just remember from early on in the window that some users on here expected them to stay amongst the top teams for years, because they would just reinvest their money in new Caicedos and MacAllisters like it's easy for them. There's still time to bring in more players, but I'm not sure if Milner and Joao Pedro is going to be the next Caicedo/MacAllister/Bissouma type of signings.. That's what I mean about overhyping them in here.

With the current squad, while being in Europe, then yes. But 8th is just a maybe for me, and I really doubt it will be higher.

That's why I don't believe in them as much. Their signings seem kinda meh, but we will see. I'm sure they can do top 8 or something.

Many have been overhyping Brighton. I'm guessing top 10, but don't think they will do top 6 again at all. If people are downplaying us due to Europe, they shouldn't overhype Brighton with that squad playing in Europe.

It's funny how Tottenham and West Ham sell their "main man", and so far they're doing well. This "without x player they're nothing" thing is a bit over the top.

I really thought that the bar was very high for what can be considered as an obvious goalscoring chance, judging by earlier incidents.

Is that really an obvious goalscoring opportunity? I've seen more obvious chances not resulting in a sending off. Don't think he would've reached that, but maybe I'm wrong.

I've heard he scored a bunch towards the end of last season aswell.. 10 goals in 1400 minutes.

Predictions in football pre season are really hard. The only thing I was really certain about was Man City being in the title race and Luton probably going down. I never listen to all the "these teams will be firing!" or "these teams will be shit", it's allways based on historical results, and each season is usually a completely different story full of surprises..

This is what I meant when I said that he speaks like a narcissist. When he shouts "I will not resign!" repeatedly while the audience is cheering, that reminds me of certain fascist leaders. Some of the things he's saying is absurd aswell, like "daughters, learn it, this is a life lesson". What is the lesson, to not stand up for themselves?
