  1. Schär is a better finisher with his weaker foot than our entire midfield.
  2. You guys still think Chelsea are in form? It's funny how Chelsea are allways "in form" after 1 good game.
  3. I gotta admit the Joelinton as striker thing didn't age very well for me, but I still stand by saying that Joelinton is not the same midfielder that he was last season yet.. Has really just had a couple of great games this season. Also, as someone pointed out, his best games for us has been as LW swapping with Willock.
  4. Feels like one of those day where every margin goes against us tbh. Sterling screamer, Joelinton incredible miss, Gordon injury, Trippier hitting the bar.
  5. It's a classic how Sterliong scores a screamer and then Joelinton misses that..
  6. That's one of the worst misses I've seen. Because in many of the worst ones the ball is bouncing or is coming fast from short range. It's directly from a corner into an open net. Incredible.
  7. He spent 9 hours thinking about which of his excuses to use next.
  8. The difference (outside of who's best up top) is that we would play Gordon wide instead of Joelinton wide (swapping with Willock). Not sure if that's a huge difference to our midfield in particular. As much as I love Joelinton, he still hasn't hit the form of last season in the midfield (yet).
  9. Gordon wasn't great either.. I just think we're getting so much more from Gordon when he's playing on the left. It's our main threat, and feels like he was wasted up top against Bournemouth.
  10. Maybe you're right. When was the last time we played Big Joe as a striker? Didn't he score 2? It was against Norwich in april 2022 if I remember correctly. Can't remember whether we have played him up top after that.
  11. Maybe I'm silly, but I'd rather play Joelinton upfront than Gordon if Isak is still out. Atleast Joelinton has some height and strength, Gordon looked a bit lost up there last time. I think Gordon on the left would be better.
  12. Playing Evans - Maguire over him for "tactical reasons" didn't go down well with him.
  13. Post deleted. What did it say?

    Joelinton

    Can't they appeal it?
  15. This Swiss coach doesn't like Schär..
  16. Reminds me of all the articles about us after the takeover. Here are some of the players that we were going to tripple the wages of: Bale, Ronaldo, Hazard, Alli, Neymar, Aubameyang, Umtiti, Coutinho, Depay, Suarez and Lukaku.
  17. Aw come on, let the fans here believe that he wanted to rest to be ready for Chelsea. Crazy if it's true though. Do you have a source?
  18. Yeah people keep making the Man City comparison, but the situation and the managers are wildly different. You just can't make that comparison. All the comments about "has taken us as far as he can" are based on nothing of substance at all.
  19. The difference between the big teams and the smaller teams har only increased after financial fair play, and the prices has become inflated like crazy. It kind of seems like FFP was really just a way to make sure that the top sides stay on top..
  20. Not really surprised, they were whining about timewasting for more than half a year after that 0-0 game.. We've had several teams do that to us in some of our draws last season, but we got over it pretty quickly. On every social media post they were commenting stuff like "Timewaster FC", and most of the complaints about our timewasting last season came from Arsenal fans. The rest of the toxic comments are from Liverpool fans commenting about oil money and human rights after we took their CL spot. Funny how Liverpool fans all of a sudden started caring so much more about human rights in Saudi after we got 4th ahead of them.
  21. With our never ending injury problems he might become a bargain.
