    Alexander Isak

Well, he definetly fits our system. As proven last season, so don't know why we need more proof again. We just need to not be shit, and he'll do well.
  2. Wtf am I doing with Ait Nouri in my team man.. Worst defence in years?
  3. City going to destroy Forest here, calling it.

    Harvey Barnes

Even at the time the signing was made, we were puzzled and had discussions about why we would sign an LW. Yet the club somehow didn't see this coming. Really strange.

    The Other 18

Yeah, I know. It's pretty much the same here with Wilson. Makes sense.

    The Other 18

I searched Shaw on twitter, and I can confirm that they are not all with him. Far from it.

Luke Shaw joins Reece James on the injury list once again..

Haha no worries, I'm enjoying it actually.
  9. Haaland is fine for those who still have him, but I must say there are several expensive assets that most would want atm. Most likely you're going to have to give up 2 of them to get Haaland if you don't have him. Luckily there are some good value options aswell, mind. Probably wouldn't sell him myself if I still owned him.

There's going to be another big bang for sure!

The Guehi thread has really evolved even further since the summer! The saga continues..

I'm sure Guehi will come out with a statement tomorrow saying that he doesn't want any gay players in the sport. After all, he clearly wanted to tell the world that, and he wasn't worried about going public with it. Waiting for the statement now.

Absolutely not, but what I'm talking about is being too quick with labelling people if they seemingly don't adhere with certain values, and making excessive assumptions about them. Guehi has not stopped anyone from promoting progressive values. I personally think people are idiots for supporting someone like Andrew Tate and such, but we've got to start asking ourselves why these types are becoming increasingly more popular. Sometimes we're just unnecessarily giving them fuel to play the woke card. Not saying we should stop supporting pride, that's not my point. It's more about overreacting to certain things, especially when we don't know the full context.

I actually think polarization often has the exact opposite effect of what it's trying to achieve. We see that in politics now. People who were on the fence or in between are swaying away from this whole "if you don't support this, you are this" thing, and the people on the other side are swaying even further away. I think there's a reason as to why the right side of politics is thriving atm in the western world, and even in Norway the far right party now has more momentum than ever. And I'm not really on the right side myself, I'm more frustrated by it. I think it's larely due to unnecessarily high amounts of polarization, which is not effective at what it tries to achieve. Apologiez for going full political, my point was not to make it about politics, but rather how polarizing over the top reactions could just make the problem become worse, even if you think it's justified.

This.. If Guehi was actually being hateful, I would never defend it. But we are just jumping to the conclusion that he hates all gay people because he doesn't seem to fully support pride. It's a massive polarization. I truly doubt that he would actually hate someone for being gay.

This is literally going against the full meaning of the pride flag.

    Marc Guehi

My only stance is that I give players the benefit of the doubt in it, meaning that I doubt they actually hate gay people. For example I don't think Guehi would actually mind having a gay teammate. Ofcourse I'm just guessing, I might be naive, and also a gay player might be uncomfortable playing in the same team as him after this. I see the issues with it, but I'm not going to just assume that he hates gay people or is a homophobe. I think it's very possible that he's not.

And this reads "you either love it or you hate it", as I said.

    Marc Guehi

I misread it as you were saying that it's not an issue. You know that it's possible to not want to wear the armband and still not be against gay people? I'm talking about the Ipswich player for instance.

    Marc Guehi

There's sometimes this idea that people must have a strong opinion about things. You either love something, or you hate it. You're either pro or anti.

I think there needs to be a distinction between being against something and not wanting to promote something. The guy from Sheffield United said that to him people can do what they want, but because of religious beliefs he just didn't want to promote it. It does beg the question as to whether some of these players would refuse to promote alchohol or gambling sponsors for the same reasons, mind..
  23. Never really thought they were too concerned about the financial side of things. Not sure they bought us to earn money from it. I think the price of a new stadium is peanuts to them, as crazy as it is.
