Terrible finisher

Kanté was one of my favourite players. He was insane.. Leicester bought him for like £400k or something.
-
Was that the season where they finished 10th when Leicester won the league, so they bought Kanté from the league winners and then went 10th to winning the league next season?
-
Rogers is really good.
-
He had a pretty long run of form before the injuries. Hard to do that right after being out for over a year.
-
I think I just find more comfort in picking a more consistent one like Salah. For some that's probably boring, though, and Isak might very well outscore him. Usually when I pick someone else than the mainstream one it goes horribly wrong.
-
I still don't trust him as captain, it somehow feels risky to me. I have no idea why, and he will probably punish me.
-
I'll probably keep him for Leicester then, and take him out after. Leicester keeps conceding lots of goals.

The mansion itself and/or the money reinvested from selling parts of the mansion is included in that statistics (and income from sales are not included). If it was "money spent since our takeover compared to other clubs", that argument would be more valid. Not saying it's not valid at all, the Mike Ashley years still matters in some way in terms of having to spend more (like lack of talents).
-
Not saying transfer fees alone is the best parameter, but doesn't it also account for the players that were bought before our takeover? For example it includes the fees of van Dijk and Salah who were bought in 2017. You guys seem to think that it's about the money spent by different clubs since the time of our takeover. It's just a total transfer fee of each player in the current squad, nomatter when they were bought. I suppose you could argue that our pricey players were mostly bought in the recent inflation of prices, and also that the other clubs has developed some great talents, which is valid.

Any news on Cunha yet?
-
You get the funds from "selling" your players like usual, while also being able to keep whoever you want at the price you got them for. So probably a bit more than 100m. Nothing happens when you play the free hit, you just do the transfers in the same way as you normally do.

Bit off topic, but in Norway there's this thing called "russ". When you are in the final year of school at 18, you're basically expected to constanly party for an entire year. Even being assigned a bunch of quests you can do like drinking at school, and drink a certain high amount of drinks at once etc. Only a few chooses to not be a part of it, because if you don't participate you'll be an outsider and most people will probably not hang out with you at all anymore. You'll miss out on all the social gatherings, unless you go sober, which isn't a great experience either. In the general though, I think consumption is higher in the UK, because most people rarely drink midweek here apart from the year when you are "russ".
-
I have the same experience, however this is in Norway. Many people my age doesn't have much to do on saturdays if they don't like alchohol, because most if not all of their friends are out getting very drunk. In holidays it's the same, your friends would just get drunk more often. If you try to go sober, they will pressure you. There are very few social gatherings which doesn't involve alchohol, because people seem to think that it would be boring.
-
Didn't actually catch that. You're right then, there are complaints about drugs being banned in general. Anyways, as someone who used to party every week and still do every now and then, I personally don't understand the controversy still. You could allways choose to not go if alchohol is a must.
-
I'm talking about it being banned in stadiums specifically, not the general ban. Alchohol is banned in Saudi, so they ban it in stadiums aswell. The illegal drugs are banned in the UK, so therefore they ban it in stadiums. Generally I'm not seeing many complaints about illegal drugs being banned in english stadiums.
-
There are a bunch of other types of substances that you can't legally consume in english stadiums. Alchohol is one of the worst substances you can possibly find for starting fights and violence (probably even the worst out of the mainstream drugs). Yet it's not like people are seeing all those other substances being banned as a problem, and subsequently complain about lack of freedom.
-
How hard is it to not drink alchohol? Sometimes I see talk about alchohol as if it's a human right, and it's somehow disgusting to deny it. There are more important things in life than having the freedom of being able to get drunk.

This seasons Villa is pretty similar to our last season in terms of expectations imo. We had tougher opponents in Europe, but they have more games. If Villa fail to qualify for Europe, their next season will be like this season for us, atleast in terms of expectations and talk of Emerys job. Finally, he has actually qualified for Europe with them twice, so that also makes up a small difference.
-
Re depth. This is from last weekend. How does our bench compare to Tottenham and Villa? Just a small note, Porro is there, but I believe he was rested for Djed Spence. Newcastle Villa Tottenham
-
The answer is often somewhere in between. Do you prefer that people have black and white/polarized opinions when those are rarely accurate? You can be critical without being anti, but ofcourse it would be easier for you to argue against someones opinion if it's too exaggerated. So I can see why you would prefer that.
-
He might be "backed", but if the reports are to be trusted, we would put ourselves in the position of having to sell someone before 1st of july if we "back him". It might just be the reality, and talking about PSR in a realistic way has nothing to do with projection of doom. Edit: as others has pointed out already.
-
Which could be down to backing him "too much" financially (relative to our PSR limit) overall in the 4 windows before that. We do need to change the squad up though, which probably means that Howe needs to accept giving up on someone of value.

Luckily there won't be an international break right at the time when we've gained momentum this time around. I think that hurt us a little bit last time.
