Need atleast 5 more injuries before we can start to blame that for not being able to beat Burnley away.
-
Still hope we buy another fullback in january, as just Targett back still wouldn't be great depth. We will probably wait until the summer, though.
-
I suspect that some of the numbers are skewed by the fact that Tino and Hall are now the fullback, rather than the ultra defensive ones we had before that. How many crosses we've faced for instance.

Read my post again. I said that the chance of having your leg break also depends on your legs resistance to that. Ofcourse everyone has their limit, but the limit is different for everyone.
-
One player can survive the exact same impact or twist without injury as someone else would break their leg from, or do their ACL. Obviously anyone can get a serious injury. However, the chance of a player getting seriously injured from a specific scenario also highly depends on the resistance of their body. How resistant they are also depends on a lot of factor, and some of them they can somewhat control.

Haaland was getting a lot of muscular injuries at BVB. He improved his lifestyle, and trained (and played) in a different way at Man City (with different physios and coaching staff), and now he's not prone to those type of injuries anymore. That's not luck.

When Rice went to Arsenal there was the same talk as now with Anderson. Talks about being overpriced and how he doesn't produce enough g/a. My only point is that his g/a at Forest might not be that representative for what he can do in terms of g/a elsewhere.

Howe started the 23/24 season with a similar less intensive style, and this was way before Bunce. He gave up on it, and then had an injury nightmare. I think he's just trying to evolve his style into something that can handle the load, but he can't figure out a different way of winning with the team that he built.

Didn't Isak tell us that he wanted to go before the summer? I think Howe confirmed that there had been talks about it, just no promise to let him go.
-
Not only that, but they've kept losing their best players.
-
Don't want Eddie sacked right now, timing is awful in mid december, especially with no replacement. However we should start looking at potensial replacements regardless. No reason not to, even if he ends up staying.

Said after 3 games that the Villa project seemed to be falling behind us after the summer. How wrong I was. Emery keeps evolving them.
-
We just had a refresh.
-
Worst part is that I bet most of us kind of expected a loss before the game. I read a lot of coping post before it had even started, going on about not being bothered or how good of a team Sunderland are etc, just to prepare us for what was about to happen. Was predictable as hell to most of us. Would've been a big surprise if we won this. That does tell you something.

I think it can't be underestimated how handy it is to have a striker that you can play through sometimes. It's not easy to spot the opportunities where it could have been possible when we rarely bother to attempt it with Wolte, but there are moments where it could have happened with a faster striker who moves in a different way. It also means that the defenders has to be more careful.
-
Can be a threat on the counter. You can actually play him through. Wolte is too slow for that.

Reinildo was the one who elbowed Bruno in the back first half?
-
Thank god we have good depth at CB, but it's getting thin if Burns out.
-
Yeah, but they get given several times every game. Doesn't matter whos at fault.
-
Probably the thing that annoys me the most.. Literally diving getting rewarded several times every game.
-
He had 3 months out to be as much ill as he wanted, but instead he chose a time right after he came back. Smh.

Might still just be a case of the injury taking longer than expected. If he started playing in november he would have probably been selected now. Some might say it was deliberate by the club, but wouldn't it be weird to tell Wissa that we're going to delay his recovery in order to avoid any chance of him going to AFCON? Peoples opinions were based on the first prognosis of him being back in november. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that anyone who predicted him to not go did it because they thought the injury would take longer to heal than what we had been told.
