If Saka is out, I don't even have a way to reinvest the money from selling. I'll have a bunch of money floating around without having a good way to spend it. Usually you have money saved for an expensive transfer, but there are none that makes sense.

So mid table teams are our nemesis? I hope Man Utd will climb out of mid table before we meet them, then.
-
We sold him 11 years ago, not 5. I know, time flies.

So I bring in Son some weeks ago as Ange said he was fine in the midweek. He turned out to be injured that weekend. I keep him in instead of Saka for a while, but he keeps stinking it up for me. I decide to wait 1 extra round with doing the transfer, to avoid a hit. Saka gets 18 and Son 2. I do the transfer, and since then Saka has given me 9 points in 4 and gotten injured. Son has played 3 with one more coming tomorrow, earning 22 points in those 3. Love this game.

I mean he's not bad to keep around as a backup anyways, unless someone make an offer that we can't refuse. He makes a decent backup for us. Almiron needs to go, and then we need someone who can be first choice ahead of Murphy.

Exactly. Was really odd to read some of the comments earlier in the season, it was a great example of short term memory. It's normal for any striker to have some bad spells.

I honestly have had the same thought. At the very least I think he's our best player since Shearer.
-
Gonna get an 8 year contract after the game.
-
It's funny, because like 1-2 months ago we were here discussing whether he can fit into our system at all. Lets not have that discussion again, unless the system completely changes.

Lots of teams has the ability to pay £60m.

1 point behind City 3 points behind Forest ..not sure where I was going with this

Terrible finisher

Kanté was one of my favourite players. He was insane.. Leicester bought him for like £400k or something.
-
Was that the season where they finished 10th when Leicester won the league, so they bought Kanté from the league winners and then went 10th to winning the league next season?

Rogers is really good.

He had a pretty long run of form before the injuries. Hard to do that right after being out for over a year.

I think I just find more comfort in picking a more consistent one like Salah. For some that's probably boring, though, and Isak might very well outscore him. Usually when I pick someone else than the mainstream one it goes horribly wrong.
-
I still don't trust him as captain, it somehow feels risky to me. I have no idea why, and he will probably punish me.
-
I'll probably keep him for Leicester then, and take him out after. Leicester keeps conceding lots of goals.

The mansion itself and/or the money reinvested from selling parts of the mansion is included in that statistics (and income from sales are not included). If it was "money spent since our takeover compared to other clubs", that argument would be more valid. Not saying it's not valid at all, the Mike Ashley years still matters in some way in terms of having to spend more (like lack of talents).
-
Not saying transfer fees alone is the best parameter, but doesn't it also account for the players that were bought before our takeover? For example it includes the fees of van Dijk and Salah who were bought in 2017. You guys seem to think that it's about the money spent by different clubs since the time of our takeover. It's just a total transfer fee of each player in the current squad, nomatter when they were bought. I suppose you could argue that our pricey players were mostly bought in the recent inflation of prices, and also that the other clubs has developed some great talents, which is valid.

Any news on Cunha yet?

You get the funds from "selling" your players like usual, while also being able to keep whoever you want at the price you got them for. So probably a bit more than 100m. Nothing happens when you play the free hit, you just do the transfers in the same way as you normally do.
