  1. Bournemouth finding their form against us, Everton finding their form against us, and now also Nottingham? Not sure whether we just handed them the lifeline, or if they stepped up their game against us.
  2. I meant to say so many injuries in general in the PL, which was possibly down to added stoppage time and WC from last season. We were just unlucky with a bunch of freak injuries, like Pope and Murphys dislocated shoulder, Burn and Andersons back injury, Targetts hamstring (barely played a game), Barnes toe injury and Botmans knee injury from the start of the season, Tonalis gambling problems. It's mostly Isak and Wilson who has had injuries that could be explained by playing too many games, together with some minor absences from Joelinton. Possibly Longstaff? Not sure what his ankle problem was about. Willock aswell, but his problems stem from last season.
  3. I know. I have been watching almost every game. Again, I'm responding to a comment that said that Tottenham has been struggling as of late just because of having 2 important players out. Do you think that this is an accurate statement? And just to respond to what you wrote in this post. The Man Utd game doesn't matter in this context. We had better options available. Also I never meant to downplay our injury struggles in any of my posts. If we had pretty much all of our CBs out with injury, then we would probably also lose to Brighton. My point is that they have not struggled lately, apart from 1 game where they had to play 4 fullbacks in their defence (which is not down to having just 2 injuries on important players). Tottenhams form is pretty good, especially when considering their several absences, and our form is shit (which is also kind of understandable due to our even larger injury list).
  4. There has been so many injuries in general in the PL this season. Read somewhere that it was probably partly a hangover from games being moved from last season (WC and the death of the Queen), but also because of the new stoppage time rules. And yes, we have probably had the worst injury nightmare out of every club in the PL. Not denying that. Chelsea, Spurs and Man Utd are other contenders, but Chelsea has a very big squad to compensate for it. Also Chelsea and Spurs were not in Europe, so they didn't have the same fatigue issues. Without Europe we could atleast field the same strong 11 that we had available each game, without the massive fatigue issue.
  5. Eric Dier has been struggling with a groin injury all season. That's why he is not playing much at all.
  6. It's still wrong to say that they have been struggling lately by having just 2 important players out in this context. Nothing to do with whether we have had bigger problems than them in the last 2 months. Also, they have not really been struggling. Won 3 out of their last 4. Against Brighton they didn't have a single centre back available. When did that happen to us?
  7. Did you even read what I was replying to? Saying that they are struggling because of 2 players missing and comparing it to our total amount of injuries is just misleading without context. And btw key players such as van de Ven, Bentancur, Romero and Maddison has been out for large parts of their season. They have had a lot of abstent players in general since that Chelsea game 2 months ago.
  8. They were missing 10 players against Brighton, 7 of them could've played a role. Maddison, both of their main centrebacks and Bissouma was missing.
  9. Just noticed that Luton has 1 clean sheet all season, and it was against us.. Didn't realise it was that bad.
  10. Obviously Haaland will also be back right before our game and score. Maybe even de Bruyne..
  11. They beat Man Utd 7-0 last season at Anfield, while this season they drew 0-0. They are more stable this season, but it's mostly their away form that has improved. Their home form is similar to last season (meaning they were really good at home when we met them last season).
  12. We're probably not going to keep doing this now that we're out of Europe plus the Carabao cup.
  13. Brighton nr. 7 with a thin squad, lots of injuries and still in the Europa League? They've won 3 of their last 13 games in the league and hasn't kept a clean sheet all season. Half of their points was gathered in the first 6 games, before Europa League and injuries started catching up with them.
  14. 6 days. Our longest break in ages, possibly since the very start of the season if you don't count the international breaks. They might still be a bit tired though, just because the level of fatigue was so high.
  15. I would hope that even in this scenario we would refuse to let Milan sign him. Anyone else.
  16. Lets say they deducted 25 points off of Villa. We wont be thinking that they might get relegated just because they are suddenly 1 point below Luton after the decution. If, however, they would've been so shit this season that they somehow just managed to collect 14 points so far, then their fans would be a lot more concerned (rightly so). Do you see the difference?
  17. I'm sure we would've been able to pick out Isak like this if our opponents gave us this much space. It happened against Villa in the first game.
  18. The problem is that when you start allowing these, defenders can start to purposely make themselves bigger in these situations and make it look unintentional. That's why handball is so complicated. Players and coaches are trying to find ways of bending the rules, and the rules are supposed to be set so that they can prevent that.
  19. People keep saying that Haalands goal tally is down to the service that he's getting at City. Strange how Alvarez is not scoring 1-2 per game then, now that he's the striker.
  20. This was pretty much the last game of the insane fixture congestion.. I know the next games in the league are difficult, but atleast there will be several days between each fixture. This might help us to not look awful atleast.
  21. Being patient wish Isak paid off. Feels like he should've had even more though.
  22. Erikse

    Alexander Isak

Might even be his best game all season. Maybe except from the Villa game. Imagine if that chip went in. Would've been one of my favourite goals ever.
  23. Erikse

    Alexander Isak

So many negatives today, but this guy was incredible. Shame the rest of the team failed so badly. He finally looked like the in-form Isak from last season.
  24. I had forgotten how good Isak is on his day when he's fit.. It's amazing.
  25. Gordon has started all 9 games since the break, and has played 721 minutes in 28 days (4 weeks exactly).. This means an average of 180 min per week for 4 weeks straight. This doesn't even include the stoppage time. It's kind of crazy.
