  1. I miss that 4th place season so much man. The fact that we were huge underdogs just made it so much better, like you couldn't believe it. So much joy in one season. And we were even hammering some teams in the process. Memories for a lifetime, nomatter what happens in the future.
  2. Jackson vs Isak is really tough. Have a feeling Jackson can outscore Isak this weekend, but he's on 4 yellows. Jackson has very good fixtures after Arsenal aswell, though. For context, I already have Palmer.
  3. Has he been a real success in a club since winning the league with Chelsea 14/15? Won the Europa League with Man Utd. Apart from that, not much of notice in the last 9 years I believe.

Just buy norwegian players, some of them are good, but they will still never qualify for any big tournament to play during the summer.
  5. https://www.givemesport.com/1821601-man-utd-alex-fergusons-reaction-when-two-players-went-out-partying-after-man-city-loss/ On the topic of how it used to be etc. Ferguson used to be absolutely ruthless when it came to these things.
  6. We should get back to having cigarettes in the wardrobe at halftime.
  7. If that's true, I stand corrected. Actually I'm struggling to find any info on that, other than certain players like Kane and Haaland saying that they never drink during a season. I knew that players get drunk off season, that's not uncommon. But during a season is news for me. Maybe they just usually keep a low profile.
  8. For me the thing that I care about when I say unproffesional is the main reason why most top footballer don't get drunk like ever, and that's what it does to your body. I didn't think comparing forum users to professional top level footballers was seen as a sensible thing to do in here (I've seen that be ridiculed several times before, rightly so), but it almost seems like some drastically change their opinion of these types of arguments based on what the argument supports. We often talk about the margins. Small things matters a lot on the top level of football. You don't need to be a virtue signaling moralist to acknowledge that. Again I'll repeat that I don't know what happened, and if this happened, I fully understand that the bigger picture needs to be taken into consideration in this case (his struggles etc).
  9. "Noone" cares when it's not one of the cartel clubs. Funny, isn't it.

  11. Reminds me of the situation where Isak got brought down inside the box, and they didn't even show a proper replay. Noone talked about it, it was assumed that the defender took the ball when he didn't. What game was that?
  12. He comes off as reasonable and honest. Not like some others who would complain about critisism while being lazy as hell on the pitch. Good on him.
  13. Speaking of.. Ofcourse this may just be rumours.

Southgate wouldn't have gotten the memo until 2026 at the earliest. Great news, well deserved.
  15. I don't. Again, the discussion was about the act of getting completely wasted during a season. That doesn't mean that it definetly happened with Trippier.
  16. Why are you wording it like that? You should rather ask "is getting completely wasted during a season unprofessional?" Because that is the real discussion here. Just going out is way different.
  17. I'm saying the same thing that I would say if a player of a different team had done the same. My opinion of an act doesn't change based on what team he plays for. That doesn't mean that I don't support the player. I've already said that I feel for him and that the situation he's in does change how we should see it. It also doesn't change my opinion on Trippier. What I have a problem with is to go after someone who says that the act of getting piss drunk while recovering during a season is unprofessional. That's just stating the obvious, not controversial at all. That also doesn't mean that he did do it.
  18. Did anyone say that Trippier is unprofessional in general? Professional people can act unprofessional in singular events.
  19. What we are saying is that the act would be unprofessional. If it happened. That's hadly a controversial statement, unless you're a biased die hard Trippier fan. Which I can understand if you are.
  20. I find it hard to believe that the club would give a player permission to get piss drunk during the season, if that's what happened. Going out might be different, I don't know.
  21. I think most if not all recognized the circumstances around it. And I agree that we shouldn't chase him out of town when he is in that situation. I just don't see the problem with calling the act itself unprofessional.
  22. Allright. I was born in the 90s myself, so I don't know much about how it was back then. But today that is highly unusual for players on the top level. That's one of the main reasons why players last longer today.
  23. Allright, I expect several people to defend it if it happens. Not that it will, though.
