The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League
Joelinton7 replied to Rich's topic in Football
I kind of get it now. So we get to 67, Villa draw at Bournemouth and their max is 67 but with an inferior gd to us. Let’s say Chelsea have lost to us but win their next two, they finish on 69 ahead of us. Forest of course would in that scenario only win two to give them 67 but with a worse gd than us. We finish in 5th above Forest. If Forest win all of their remaining games they finish on 70, above us but we’re in 5th with Chelsea on 66 in 6th? -

I’ve come up with a scenario where we beat Chelsea, draw at Arsenal and the rest win all of their games (besides Chelsea obviously), with the table looking like this going into the last game; Newcastle - 67 Forest - 67 Chelsea - 66 Villa - 66 It’s good for us that Forest and Chelsea are playing each other last game and it means one of them is guaranteed to drop points, they’ll also be both desperate not to lose. Let’s say we beat Everton and Forest beat Chelsea. We finish 4th, ahead of Forest on GD. -

Unfortunately my ears don’t have the pleasure as I’m watching on skygo on my phone 😅

I think so. Ex Forest

Who tf is on co comms, the Forest glazing is ridiculous. Just going on about how the game is going exactly as Forest would have wanted it to, despite them being pedestrian af and average with no shots on target.

They won’t have time to press us with how much we’ll press them. Plus their defence have some clangers in them. Pope Trippier Botman Burn Livramento Bruno Tonali Miley Murphy Isak Gordon 2-0 Isak and Gordon -

We’re beating Chelsea (I know you’ll say don’t be so sure.. I’m sure). Get at least a point v Arsenal as they’ll have nothing to play/will rest players to protect them for the final. Arsenal are everything Brighton aren’t and we have their number. We’ll beat Everton. Job done. -

Willock’s playing a different game to the rest of the team. Still not tuned up for PL football. Injuries have wrecked him. -

Get Gordon on. Get Miley on. Get Isak into the game ffs -
I don’t think Guehi has ever had any intention of signing a new deal. If we make Champions League, having also won a cup ourselves then you’d be a fool to stay at Palace, even if they had won the FA Cup.
