He has a desperate desire to score goals. These goals aren’t “scrappy”, they’re instinctual. He’s just a very good pro footballer and we couldn’t ask for a better Isak rotation option.

Martin Hardy, the genius, says Brentford have no valuation of him but his valuation is at least £40m, according to him, Martin Hardy. Also says we’re a significant distance away from this valuation, which Brentford haven’t set, that Martin Hardy has presumably made up in his head. Spurs could also match but he isn’t a priority. Say it how you like but him asking for £300k a week is partially stopping us from signing players this summer. It’s a huge chunk. I remember Waugh (may have been someone else) writing that there is a consensus going around this summer that we might hold back on transfers just so that we can give players like Isak, Tonali etc new contracts, so that we can demand more for them when they’re sold. Not his fault, we haven’t grown our commercials enough to match our on pitch growth. It would have been impossible to really.
