Lovely interview. Can tell he feels more part of the club since his perm move and that spell he had at the end of last season.
  2. I’m not sure tbh. I hadn’t heard of him previously. There’s lots of senior competition ahead of him so it’d be difficult for him to make a such a big impact. I’m kind of surprised we haven’t immediately sent him out on loan. Might show the faith they have in his ability to succeed here. Minteh did and ended up bagging us £25m+ profit. It shows that getting that vast, in depth scouting knowledge in every corner of the world is going to be crucial for us. We need guys who can almost find us sure things because it will help so much in freeing up funds for more expensive signings if these cheap gems become stars and If we do bring them in for pennies and turn them over for millions it’s gonna’ open the door for us to compete at the top longterm.
  3. 1. The window closes in 10 weeks, not the start of the season. That’s loads of time. 2. Eddie lies Edit: my mistake the window actually closes in 6 weeks. We’re fucked.

    He’s meme-ing again
  5. Think any loans we do from now on will always been with an obligation to buy. Eddie won’t risk having players who aren’t 100% committed to the long-term. Would be interested in Bobb but prob not as our main wide forward signing. Lots of potential with serious re-sell value. FWIW the replies from City fans there suggest they are loathe to let him go.
  6. Yeah, Eddie doesn’t know himself until he’s sat down and had formal discussions re these power lines. So any predictions of doom from Edwards, Hope, Downie etc are complete conjecture from journalists who prey on uncertainty. If Eddie doesn’t know, how do they know? He likely has a good idea, he knows the club are acting in good faith. He just wants power structures formalised with agreed working principles going forward so that no one is in the dark about what their roles are. He just hasn’t had a chance to do that yet as he’s been at this training camp.
  7. Having watched three interviews now, this is my opinion. He’s fully committed to the club. He’s not said he’s unhappy, he’s not said he’s leaving. He’s said the opposite. He literally said “England is not important”. For me that means, get things right here and England is irrelevant. He’s a little unsure of how the new structures are going to work and wants to see where power dynamics are going to settle. There are a lot of moving parts atm and he needs to be sure of roles and boundaries in this new setup. Basically he doesn’t know how things are gonna’ play out because he hasn’t had the chance to get to know PM and JB yet. For me it’s up to the club, Mitchell, Bunce etc to give him these assurances. Mitchell and Eales have both talked about giving Eddie the best possible platform to succeed on the pitch and they want him to concentrate on what he does best, which is coaching. I don’t know if this means that he’ll have less say in transfers. I wouldn’t think so. It’ll be totally collaborative. Howe should always have the last say imo. I don’t think Eddie is so obsessive that he’ll allow no interference whatsoever. He said, and always says he wants what’s best for the club. He’s not going to spit his dummy out. He’s a solution focused individual who will work with what he’s given, he’s shown that. It’d have to go very sour and his role to be completely diminished for him to leave. I am positive but I can’t deny my feelings that the interviews have left me a bit unsure of the future. We’re going to have to be patient. Wait to see how the window plays out, the first month of the season. I think he’ll stay. If he gets offered the job I think the club will push the boat out for him and show him the love.
  8. Says he didn’t even know Southgate had left but as long as he’s supported at the club then he’ll stay. Also says there’s been zero destabilisation of anything. One in the eye for Luke. But of course we all knew Eddie would have no probs with Mitchell coming, AS going or anything else because he’s a consummate professional.
  9. 31 seconds longer than that fraud Ashworth
  10. Literally, the actual article just says “Newcastle might be interested”
  11. Was gonna post the same gb. You REALLY have to have done something wrong for Howe to completely discard you as someone he just can’t fix.
  12. Is it Tent Alexander-Arnold?
  13. This is what I thought. Luke, the true faith lot are throwing their toys out of the pram because AS and MG have left. They used to get invited to stuff by them and hang around on the train with them after away games probably getting little tidbits of info. They’re just coming across as petty now.
  14. Eddie after “not being consulted over Mitchell”.
  15. To sum up, Howe had no clue about Mitchell and so therefore must be fuming, yeah obviously Luke. Howe’s unwavering professionalism straight out of the window despite him repeating many times that he’ll support whatever the club thinks is in its best interests. He's just gonna’ blank Mitchell in the canteen isn’t he? He’s been “hit hard” with AS leaving. Doesn’t sound like Eddie at all Luke but go on. Arguments, stress and tension and a dark cloud have hung over the summer. Has it? That’s the actual weather Luke. Not NUFC. See this is why people don’t like him. He takes any ounce of apprehension, uncertainty or dissatisfaction within a section of the fanbase (or his own head) and then slaps out divisive, angst ridden crap with credible evidence stretching no further than “it’s thought” or “understand that”. It’s like he takes all the good things about the club and how it is run and just goes “but what if it wasn’t?” and calls it real journalism.
  16. I know but also so good
  17. Has anybody else ever seen this
  18. Looks like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders
