Davies just said it could have been a red for Miley 😂. It was just unlucky, if there player went into the tackle normally as a 50:50 instead of lying on the floor it wouldn’t have even been mentioned
-
Good win that, nine changes away to a championship level team on form. Can’t complain with that. In the hat. Biggest positives were Willock, Krafth, Osula, Miley and a great half from Tonali for me!
-
Square it man!
-
Great save, going to be a nervy finish this
-
Nice to see Willock get a couple, played really well. Better from Longstaff, they’re the sort of 50/50’s he loses usually!
-
This game is bad for us. Such a dirty team, don’t need these injuries
-
Should have been a red for Davies?
-
Referee’s at this level make you miss the premier league ones somehow
-
Been disappointed with a few players personally. Pope’s passing again has been really bad, Burn was poor before his injury, the full backs all over the place, Longstaff pointless. Hopefully we find a way to get through.
-
Feel bad saying it but I can’t stand watching him play football, he is so slow at everything he does. Nice lad but I think it’s time we move him on.
-
The fact that there has been no VAR has added so much to this game, goals goes in…get on with it.
-
Just come back from a non- league game. 3-0 down at half time, 3-3 at full time. It has felt similar!
-
The fact the left back hasn’t been booked yet is so bizarre 😂
-
Please Eddie, don’t take Osula off in this game. He’s so entertaining!

Just booked a hotel in Newcastle to come and watch the final, can't wait! Where was the best place two years ago? I went to Anarchy Brew Company which was quite good but it would be nice to be in the centre if there are any decent big screen ticketed venues that are usually pretty good?

Sven Botman: Out for up to 8 weeks after minor Knee operation (Howe)
Vaj replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Massive shame if he is out, could do with playing this 5 at the back for the next three league games potentially. Hopefully not serious -
Here we go from Fab. Surely we are going to try and bring a forward in over the next few days
-
Yeah hopefully Mitchell will be looking to unearth gems instead of going for the already proven. We can afford to do that with the star players we already have
-
I get why there’s negativity because today was poor but everyone else around us are also very inconsistent and will drop stupid points along the way. Top 5 is still on and with potentially 8th being Europe, I’m sure we will get there.
-
Such a shame because the old Willock is exactly what we need on the bench to change games. This guy is worse than Longstaff and it’s costing us because we look so disjointed every time he comes on
-
He played well but it’s the same as Pope. As soon as Pope was out we started to feel the benefits of a goalkeeper being able to play the ball out. Having everyone comfortable on the ball is what we need to progress. This unfortunately means that we need to eventually replace Joelinton in the first eleven against the ‘poorer’ teams as he isn’t good enough on the ball.
-
Awful second half. Schar’s long balls are absolutely shocking at the moment. Willock is horrific every time he gets on (should have been Miley and earlier). It will get shot down by most of you but we need to replace Burn with Botman to help control games a bit more. Botman can defend as well as Burn but can also pass the ball out from the back. I don’t care how good Burn has been, to progress we need to be better on the ball. Finally, surely we can get an attacker in on loan just to give us another option. We can’t be that hard up with PSR. Could be the difference maker this season. Fail to get Europe and we lose Isak at least
-
Decent half that. Could do with a second quite quickly in the second half. Would like to see Miley on for Joelinton. Willock has done nothing to justify being ahead of Miley in the pecking order over the last few months and we could do with someone who can help control the game in the second half
-
Looking at their team I think they’re a solid team without anyone special (except Robinson) that are well drilled. Get an early goal and we will be fine but they’re nothing like Bournemouth so if we are close to our best today we should have no problems
