Give over! Relegation battle, don’t be ridiculous! Not good enough at all but we are not that bad

If everyone is fit from the last game, I would just make one change - Willock in for Joelinton. I think Willock's driving runs in what will be an open game will potentially come in handy. A couple of dodgy passes aside, I think Murphy did enough to deserve another start and having someone on either side of Isak who are happy to run in behind helps him a lot. Gordon needs to play left again to build on his performance midweek, last thing we need now is to continue to move him around.

Hopefully see him on the bench in the Carabao cup game all being well. -

Agree with everything said, MOTM last night for me and I have been crying out for him to play the central role for ages and he hasn't disappointed. Would love to see Miley come in alongside Tonali and Bruno at some point to give us even more control. If Miley has developed physically as has been reported then I think it is time we put some trust in him and gave him some more minutes. I love Joelinton but he is limited technically and I can see our best midfield being Miley - Tonali - Bruno if it was given a chance.

What a difference it makes having a creative player in Bruno further up the pitch instead of Longstaff. Tonali will be able to play the deep lying role as well as Bruno in my opinion and now we can unleash Bruno further up the pitch which will get the best out of Isak, who is absolutely incredible when given the chances. Just a shame it has taken Howe until now to really give this a go, as I feel that if we went with this as soon as Tonali was available we would have more points on the board.

Can we question Howe yet or is that not allowed because we came fourth two seasons ago? We have been shit all season and I hope he turns it round, but questions have to be asked of him and our recruitment over the last 12 months

Our corners are dreadful. Can’t score from them or even look remotely dangerous and they seem dangerous every time they get one. Just don’t get what’s happened with this team, Howe needs to sort it out.

We are so boring to watch, really frustrating!

5+ minute stoppage to get to the wrong decision

That’s never offside. The movement did nothing!

Really hope we try and sign Dibling. Going to be one hell of a player!

Also, the atmosphere was shit, expected big things under the lights. Bet it is completely different a week on Wednesday

Howe got that wrong in my opinion. We were playing well in the first half and didn’t need major changes. Moving Joelinton (possibly our best player in the first half) to centre mid where he’s struggled was stupid. If he really wanted Barnes on then Gordon had to come off and then he seemed to mess with the formation constantly all half and we had no rhythm. Really disappointing!

Tonali on for Willock for me, get Bruno further forward. Not happening for Willock so far! If we still trail at 60 mins. Longstaff off for Wilson and have Bruno and Tonali as a double pivot with Isak off Wilson

Every time I’ve watched Villa this season they’ve seemed pretty average but keep finding a way of winning. Got to respect it I suppose!

Most frustrating game of the season. We would be level with fourth if we had won that
