I agree with this. No point in tiring him out for the weekend, see what Osula can do. Can’t do worse than Isak who looks so off it and has taken a knock
-
Well this is shit, isn’t it?
-
I have my doubts with Torres as he is constantly linked, but he does seem to be the sort of player you could snap up late on for a loan with an option to buy. Simakan sounds perfect for us, especially if we let Trippier go.
-
Yeah it felt wrong when I sent it

It's a joke, I think it gives us a 22.5% chance of drawing one of them in the next round if we were to go through. Judging by our luck over the last 12 months, more a 100% chance!
-
Think people are underestimating how much we could do with some pace at the centre of defence if we continue to play a high line. Offers everything Schar does for me but then has the pace to get back. Still think we will get him for some reason
-
It is all very frustrating but let’s not criticise anyone until 11pm on Friday. Still time to do some deals.
-
If we don’t get Guehi now then there’s little chance in the future. Liverpool or Chelsea would snap him up when the price is lower. Feels like Disasi and Trafford to end the window
-
If they bought Guehi for this price earlier in the window and we just bought Yoro for whatever they have paid for him now, they would be mocking us for buying an unproven player form the French league when they got an England international for just £10m more.

I don't see it as a major issue, however I think Howe will. He liked having Burn at LB for his extra height even with Botman playing CB so I can see him wanting to play Kelly at LB at least against certain opposition that are a bit more physical.
-
We were only 6 points off Tottenham in 5th place as well, 5th should be CL this season.
-
I don't think there is a wrong answer as to which is needed more out of a CB and a RW, both are needed and there are solid arguments to be had for both. My opinion has swayed from a RW being more important, but I think that is because there has not been an obvious player seemingly available that will really transform us on the RW. If we could have got Olise then RW would have been more important than CB for me because he would have been a mega signing. If we can only get someone like a Madueke, who could well be a very good signing, then getting Guehi and improving a leaky defence from last season then feels more important to me.
-
If the manager and the sporting director want him and we get him then I couldn't give a shit about the price and will welcome him with open arms. He will be a massive asset to the club and will make our starting eleven one player short of being, in my opinion, one of the best in the Premier League.

Then immediately signed Dewsbury-Hall, doubt that wasn’t a Maresca signing
-
Disasi would be a disaster
-
Didn’t he sign pretty much the exact same day as Maresca was announced? Clearly not his man!

Agree it is stupid from Schar and hopefully he has learned a valuable lesson but it’s a joke. How can the shoulder barge be judged as less? Both off the ball as far as I’m concerned and the shoulder barge was done with such aggression. The head-buts were done equally by both, it is just that one player wanted to cheat and con the ref and the other didn’t.
-
Unable to watch the game today so only seen the red card. Absolutely awful decision. The shoulder barge alone is worse than the supposed headbutting from either player. Let alone the fact that the ‘headbutt’ happens every weekend in the premier league but both players normally stay on the feet and do a pointless head to head thing. Diaz was a disgrace and if that isn’t overturned then it’s a joke. Thank fuck for the three points…rant over!

Garnacho on the bench, good start

We will definitely have other targets in mind, various media reports say that we are in talks for other targets, although that could be us bluffing to try and force their hand.
-
I also think that this is the sort of game where Longstaff is useful in terms of the positions he gets into in the box and if he is fitter now than last season I think he will have a good game.
