  1. Didn’t book either of their players. That was a yellow, but no consistency!
  2. Conference league would be a great opportunity to give players like Neave, Sahar, Park and Munda some actual minutes to help them develop if the situation works out that way. I have gone for those four because they have all made the bench at different times. This can help them be more ready if we have an injury crisis. We could have really done with Sahar having that bit more experience this season in my opinion, as well as Howe taking a bit more of a risk, because when we were down to four defenders, Trippier seriously needed a rest and it was hindering the whole team as a result.
  3. Hits his stomach first. The rule changed after the Tino one. Disgrace!
  4. 7 points off CL with Liverpool, Chelsea and Villa faltering. Easy!
  5. If we do go out to Barcelona I can see us really push on in the league without the midweek fixtures. We will never know if that’s true though because we will spank Barcelona!

    Tino Livramento

Miley needs to be pushing to start in CM, he has an incredibly high ceiling and we need to develop him there. If Tino goes then we need a new starting RB with Miley as backup for now and to also sign a young RB that can be trusted to come in and give us some minutes if needed and eventually develop to be the backup/competition for whoever the first choice is. The youngster needs to be someone of the ability like Kayode or Fresneda had before their last transfers as opposed to how much they will probably go for now

    Joelinton

Incredible performance today and perhaps as importantly he didn’t get booked so won’t miss the return leg where he will be even more vital. I have no doubt that if he did the same challenge that Yamal did he would be suspended for the next one…

    Jacob Ramsey

Think he will go from strength to strength as long as he stays relatively injury free which is his biggest hurdle for me. A brilliant alternative in the middle for certain games but I do still think we need one more central midfielder to replace Willock that is a bit more creative A midfield six of Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton, Ramsey, Miley and a more creative 8/10 would be such a brilliant mix that could help us shake things up to suit different scenarios

    Lewis Hall

Agree with everything said, he’s the best player in our team for me now. Defensively he has improved massively over the last two years and then this year he is adding a ridiculous dribbling ability. Once he adds a little more to his game going forward in terms of goals and assists, which will come, he will be unstoppable. (Lack of assists probably partly due to us being a bit toothless up top) I have no doubt he will play for one of the best teams in the world. I just hope we get a few more years out of him first!
  10. Game didn’t restart until 90 mins and 30 seconds due to our sub so no complaints with the time added on. Just annoyed we can’t see games out
  11. Can’t fault any of the players really, just need that extra bit of quality. Elanga doing well out wide but struggles when he comes into the middle of the pitch. Really impressed with Ramsey and Hall and the rest of the defence
  12. The Yamal none booking, Joelinton clearly winning the ball in the final third and ‘flagging’ Barnes offside when he was onside were horrendous decisions. Playing really well but lacking quality. Hate mentioning him but Isak of last season really is the difference at times, fingers crossed we can get that goal!
  13. Probably wants as much pace in behind as possible and his aerial threat alongside Burn, Thiaw and Joelinton could be a big part of it from set pieces
  14. Burnley 1-1 Bournemouth Sunderland 1-1 Brighton Arsenal 2-0 Everton Chelsea 3-1 Newcastle West Ham 1-2 Man City Palace 1-0 Leeds Man United 3-2 Villa Forest 2-0 Fulham Liverpool 2-0 Spurs Brentford 2-1 Wolves

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I rate Solanke quite highly as a modern day centre forward, but with his injury record and the fact that he is almost 29 with the fee and wages that will be involved, it is a big no from me. As for players from teams at the bottom, the main ones of interest to me are Gibbs-White, Anderson, Matheus Fernandes, Hugo Bueno, Mane and Bergvall. Could be the year to look to do this again because some big names are going to go down, last year was slim pickings!
  16. Huge respect to Trippier here! Hell of a shift after a nervy start!
  17. Pretty damning for Wissa this. Osula and Murphy on over him
