    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Gordon is a very good player, albeit out of form, and will go up another level if he were to join Arsenal. However, for where we are, if we need to sell someone to help fund the new players we need, then for me it is him. However, this transfer window is going to see us need to buy a GK, CB, RB, LB and a new attacker as a minimum. Then you have the potential for needing to replace any of Tino, Bruno, Tonali, Willock, Gordon, Osula or anyone else that potentially leaves. My main concern then is due to how slow we move and the lack of upheaval Howe wants in the squad, we will neglect positions that for me need more quality that we already have the quantity of players in (mainly RW, ST and a more creative midfielder). A huge summer and if it goes like last summer it really could set us back years.
  2. For some reason I think we will win this one, although Cunha against Trippier and Bruno getting the ball in between the midfield and defence is a major concern. Going to go for a 2-1 - Gordon and Thiaw with the goals, Ratty scoring for them.
  3. Don’t know enough about most of these players but signings like Hutchinson are why we are stagnating at the moment. If we sold Gordon we need to go up a level not down! Someone like Ndiaye
  4. Wolves 1-2 Villa Bournemouth 2-0 Sunderland Burnley 0-3 Brentford Liverpool 2-1 West Ham Newcastle 2-0 Everton Leeds 1-3 Man City Brighton 2-2 Forest Fulham 2-1 Spurs Man United 2-0 Palace Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea Gameweek 29 fixtures - deadline Tuesday 3rd March @ 19.30 Bournemouth 1-1 Brentford Everton 2-0 Burnley Leeds 2-1 Sunderland Wolves 0-2 Liverpool Villa 1-1 Chelsea Brighton 1-1 Arsenal Fulham 1-1 West Ham Man City 3-0 Forest Newcastle 2-1 Man United Spurs 1-1 Palace
  5. Also starting Joelinton and Burn is risky with them on a suspension tight rope. If one gets booked tonight he will get slated. Could have gone for Murphy and Botman at CB
  6. Strange to start Trippier with Shahar there, a great chance to give him some minutes and a chance to rest Trippier at a time when there’s no real alternatives to him. Hopefully Neave gets decent minutes but we are right to start Osula to try and get him some minutes
  7. Top 5 I believe is pretty nailed on for CL 6th Europa League 7th Conference League because the winner of the Carabao will be in the CL If winner of the FA Cup is already in Europe then 7th Europa League and 8th Conference league
  8. Rules need to be changed on fouls whilst the ball isn’t in play. You should be able to be penalised either way in my opinion. Players are taking the piss because they know there is no punishment, would help stop this ridiculous pushing and shoving
  9. Played well, lacked quality at times and ran out of steam. Fair play to the players and credit to Burn in that second half as well against Haaland
  10. Never going to get given but he just pushed him with two hands did he not?
  11. Completely accidental from Burn but he will have to be careful now
  12. Khusanov coming on is bad news. He will match us for pace
  13. Very harsh. He is clearly a very good striker but is playing in a system that doesn’t suit him when he is up top. There’s a reason Bayern wanted him
  14. Yeah playing this way means that we can’t be playing Trippier going forward. Need a new younger RB to replace him. Trippier could still play at this level for a team that sits back but he can’t do one on one defending with a high press
  15. Feel sorry for Woltemade in this role defensively, he’s chasing shadows at times but not his fault that he is needed to play there
  16. Feels weird this. We are playing well but I still think that we are going to lose 4-1 with these tactics, Haaland against a yellow carded Burn is terrifying. If they go 3-1 up it will be game over, next goal is huge!
  17. Villa 2-0 Leeds Brentford 2-1 Brighton Chelsea 3-0 Burnley West Ham 1-2 Bournemouth Man City 2-0 Newcastle Palace 3-1 Wolves Forest 1-1 Liverpool Sunderland 1-1 Fulham Spurs 0-2 Arsenal Everton 2-2 Man Utd
  18. Newcastle - Bournemouth, Villa and City Arsenal - Portsmouth, Wigan and Mansfield When you’re competing on four fronts the difference in these draws is huge, they’ve been able to completely rotate and breeze through to the quarters. Maybe next year we will get this level of fortune!
  19. Ridiculous luck but in a one off game at home we can do them, beat them in the league this season already. Would much rather them now at home than at Wembley!
