    Alexander Isak

Talksport are saying Quansah and Joe Gomez could be used as makeweights in any deal to sign Isak. Maybe throw in Darwin Nunez as well. Nightmare scenario for me. I don't want any of those three, especially at the valuations Liverpool would put on them. Worryingly, we know Eddie is a big fan of Joe Gomez.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Not convinced by Dibling at all. Because he is so young, people naturally assume his potential is limitless, but it could just as easily mean he's hit his ceiling very early in his career. Personally, I think he'll have a career similar to that of Connor Wickham.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I assume you mean Nicola Kuhn? Would be pretty disappointing if he is our marquee RW signing this summer. Not to be too snobbish, but I'm always wary of signings from Scotland who tear it up for the likes of Celtic and Rangers. The jump in quality to the Premier League is immense. Van Dijk is the last one that I can remember who made the transition successfully.
  4. Agbonlahor is up there with Paul Merson as the thickest pundit around. Both stealing a living.
  5. That Sweden team is utter pish. They are not worthy of having someone as good as Isak playing for them.

Free transfer as well. Sad for Hoffenheim.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I wouldn't be averse to signing DCL for right price. Decent enough backup, plus he would give us something different up front. The supporting striker we sign this summer doesn't have to be world class, we already have that in Alexander Isak. We just need someone who can hold the fort and be reliable when called upon.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I was just going to say that. He's going to Bayern, so we've already missed the boat on him. Not to worry though, I'm sure there are plenty of others we can go for. This summer should be an exciting one, especially if we get Champions League next season.
  9. 50m is too much for Huijsen. Unfortunately, we've missed the boat on him.

    Harvey Barnes

Come on, Harvey lad! Time to make yourself a legend!
  11. Mind blowing to think Kepa is the most expensive goalkeeper in history.
  12. Brighton much the better side here. They have been right from the beginning of this match.
  13. The absolute state of these promoted sides ffs.
  14. That Marmoush fella is decent enough, but we made him look like prime Johan Cruyff. It was a shocking surrender from us.
  15. Our performance at City looking worse by the day.
  16. Are Lyon any good these days?
  17. It would be just like these cunts to go and win the Europa, thus qualifying for the CL as well. Somehow they will land on their feet despite having their worst season in living memory.
  18. He's a Ballon d'or candidate if Barca win La Liga and the CL. Ship well and truly sailed indeed.
  19. We desperately need to get some positivity and momentum back into our performances and results, starting tonight.
  20. Lose tonight and the season could fizzle out dramatically. We'll lose the cup final without laying a glove on Liverpool and then fade away into 10th or 11th in the league table, thus missing out on Europe, which will have grave consequences for us in the short-term at least. This is why tonight's game is so important.
  21. He might make it in a certain role, but would he still be the Hatem that we knew and loved? Of course he would have the ability to make it today, but to do so he would need to have his flair and spontaneity drilled out of him. The best example of this in recent years is probably Jack Grealish at City. He was more productive at City, and the numbers may back that up, but he was a million times more interesting to watch when he was at Villa. I guess this is what we are discussing, is football as entertaining now as it was 20/30 years ago? I don't think it is, I blame the likes of Guardiola, Mourinho, and to a lesser extent, Rafael Benitez. Those chaps made it all about themselves and put themselves at the forefront, whereas when I was growing up it was the players.
  22. Paqueta has been trying to prove a point to us ever since we refused to sign him.
