This I think we've looked better with Murphy their at times because of this exact reason.

Wish him and Miggy would just smash it some times

Think he was a massive signing for what Howe wanted this season, Gordon and Almiron work had but just aren't as clinical as Barnes he will add goals and take the load off Isak and Wilson. -

Full scale melt down after an away defeat to Everton and people are suggesting playing a weaker team here ?. This is the must wins of all must win games -
Where do we strengthen though? Do we sign a winger if we've got some coming back to fitness? A centre midfielder when we have Wilock coming back and 50million Tonali back next season? It's a hard one to judge when it's down to injuries/suspensions etc.

It was a bad day at the office but I fear there's something more at play, especially with our away performances. We really aren't clinical enough and need to start taking more of our chances we were all over Man United and only managed one goal, could have got sucker punched and ended up with a point. Almirons and Gordon's shooting at times is just poor and we aren't getting enough goals from our midfield 3. It's less forgving away from home especially the longer the game goes on at 0-0.
-
Like something out of the Alan Pardew or Steve Bruce book of excuses tbh, glad Howe wasn't entertaining it when asked post match. Need to take responsibility for the performance and improve.
-
Yeah it's a factor but I'm not buying it as the main factor. If we were more clinical yesterday and didn't make some shit defensive mistakes we come away with something and we aren't talking about the fatigue so much.
-
I agree with this, think Howe did also tbh by his post match comments.
-
I think the team would have been Barnes Isak Gordon Joelinton Bruno Tonali And tbh think that would have been class. Howe hasn't been able to use his two main signings.
-
I think this, give our keepers December and if it's clear they're going to cost us make a move for someone else. No room for sentiment, can't cost ourselves points or a possible trophy etc if a better alternative was available.
-
I feel for him, he'd obviously highlighted what we needed to improve on last season with extra creativity in midfield so went for Tonali and extra goals from wide positions so went and got Harvey Barnes. They were his two main signings and I really think they would have been brilliant for us once settled. Not only has he lost them but he's had major injuries throughout the squad. Must be massively frustrating. We need to back him after results like last night and show him love and support because it's going to come together eventually.
-
He's just not the finished article yet and has some games that pass him by. Some people got carried away with some performances calling him world class etc when he's a fair bit off that currently. I think he could be though, still likely a couple of years off his peak.

I agree, however I also can't see us catching Villa. We can still have a great season and have players coming back soon, I really think we should prioritise the cups. We need to end our trophy drought it would be massive for the club and fan base to do so. The league Cup is only a few more games to lift a trophy, Sunderland away can kick start an FA Cup run. We can beat anyone on our day. 6/7/8th place with a cup over 4th any day tbh. -
Dummet is a decent centre half and a poor left back. Negativity towards him is from his performances at left back really.
-
He's just too inconsistent tbh, I think the plan was for Barnes to play on the left and Gordon on the right. Hopefully we see that soon.
-
Think the Barnes injury might have had more of an effect on his plans than we realise. Was a big outlay on him and he had a good goal return for Leciester.
-
Was a joke
-
I don't think he is, Liverpool certainly related him up until a point, I'd say his fuck ups were more the mental side than ability?

??

Isnt no problem also isn't an excuse for the score line.

Eddie Izzard ran 32 marathons In 31 days...

Think the fatigue excuse is a bit lazy mind and not sure Howe will be accepting it either. As said we've had 5 days between the last game and should be relatively fresh. B
