Wild if Man City let Bobb go. Was on cusp of really breaking out till his injury, and looks a far better prospect than Savinho / Doku, just doesn’t have the pace those have.
-
Willock will be 6th choice. Then will move next summer and we either promote Harrison up if he takes a leap or we buy. But next summer I’d expect Joelinton to move on and we sign a star CM. Expect a replacement this summer with Gallagher coming in or someone similar.

Must have a CM closely lined up. Gallagher?

All the best Longstaff. Glad he’s got an ideal move. Stays in Prem, good final deal in his prime years and can stay in the region.

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Yea, like we’ve missed out on this guy twice already. Third time, oh well. Just got to hope there’s quality of that list because we’re working our way through them. -
It’s right we didn’t offer him a contract, had 4 years left last summer. This summer was always the one to offer it after another output season and confidence in giving him £200k+ Isak agent will be wanting a good deal on back of this, and rightly so and we’ll rightly pay as recognition. All a load of noise this. It will have as much traction as Tino to Man City.

That feels a small increase incoming, with more upfront and a take it or leave it. Frankfurt think Liverpool will come in, fine. Outside of them, no other club will match our offer and more upfront. -
Why would you need a striker when you would Mbeumo / Cunha on the books? With Zirkzee / Mount / Diallo all 10s. Then with Garnacho who should be in your squad in that 10. Would be insane to load up on a striker (blocking pathway of Obi) with no Europe. Unless you were able to move on Hojlund, but he’s not in the weird bomb squad yet so he’s not moving yet.

Others will come in as soon as fee is agreed Hopefully medical all lined up, terms agreed with player and it’s a case of being a formality once club to club agreement is established. With Pedro, we didn’t have none of it lined up / wrapped up, so once Chelsea got whiff of what the closing deal value was, they moved. -
No redeeming value at £30m.

Trafford (Any GK) or the CB, one must end up being a loan with obligation to buy end of season, so it goes into 26/27 accounts?
-
He’s done both knees hasn’t he? 6ft 4. In defence. Required to play an aggressive way. It is make our break these next few months for him, so I really hope it’s a case of make.

Think Trafford should get done (you hope) and that’s like what £150m spent? Could argue we could stretch that to £180m if we sign a CB, but would then need some top commercial deals / UCL again in 2026 to enable spending next summer. Would argue it’s better to go balls deep this summer and stretch that to beyond, because the stronger the squad is, the easier it is to sell someone like Joelinton etc. next summer and replace without a big shake up. -

Isak plays with Gyorkes for Sweden. He’s used to playing with another striker and doesn’t strike me as a “I must score all the goals”. He’ll just want to win games, trophies and this signing would help that. Plus when he does drop off to get ball on half turn, he’ll have one more player higher up to play the ball to / in behind. -
At least we don’t have to put up with “Should have signed him” if he joined a prem club and posted respectable figures.

It’s probably on higher end from those two, but I guess it’s case of he’s a trusted target with a strong body of research and we’re not keen on elsewhere. So better to pay £5m more on someone we’re more confident in then a lower cost alternative. Probably a compromise needed elsewhere in our targets, but one worth taking. -
Alternative to Trafford.

Number 9 shirt going to him then if Isak doesn’t want it. -

He’d 100% have confirmation the deal is legit, just got to hope it’s not one where it’s just our link that’s been leaked and agent is also in talks with like Liverpool and it’s used to close the deal with them on better terms. -

Or we are going balls deep on this smokescreen and going to announce like Harry Kane instead. -

Leicester won league with Simpson, Morgan, Huth and Fuchs in defence. Just an injury to CM would give me jitters more than in defence. More reporting. -

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Newcastle side with so much pace in attack if we got him (or someone of similar ilk). We must have a low budget CB earmarked if we’re blowing this much on an attacker? Or we’re going full balls deep knowing there’s some major commercial deals to come this season.
