Reasonable chance spurs could finish top 8 Everyone will be wanting them in L16.
-
Welcome to Man City, Elliot Anderson.
-
This is a massive turn up. Win tonight (stays this way) with Arsenal getting a result and Spurs drawing, top 8 becomes more achievable with something to play for against PSG.
-
They need to bring a rule in where you can’t be in the 6 yard box until the corner is taken. This trend of sticking like 12 people in that 6 yard box needs stopping IMO.
-
MLS will be someone who leaves Arsenal next summer. Not good enough for LB, but he’s a very interesting profile for a CM. Would need training more in that role, but think he would be a seriously good pick up if someone was ready to spend 12-24 months moulding him into that role.
-
Nuno didn’t want him and he’s so far from a Dyche player What happens when DoF gets signing for a certain way and doesn’t align with manager. Bobb won’t be first choice at Fulham, so not sure he will get serious games he needs at his age. Bit of a strange move, but when it’s priced at that, his quite limited in his options. Can’t see him progressing unfortunately. Man City got value, like many of their youth sales, but if they kept hold of many they would be no worse off IMO. They sell them, and spend loads on average players to replace.
-
I’d hope that was pinpointed as a potential turning point, giving it was playing three of the newly promoted sides and 5 of last seasons bottom 8 That is the easy run over now.

His (Pep) underlying principles been the same at Man City as was at Barcelona, just not to the extreme. I.e. Wingers being high and wide, but then crashing in back post was his at Barce with Henry / Villa / Pedro and was same with Mahrez / Sane / Sterling. It’s this current Man City side that’s unlike Pep, and it’s showing because it doesn’t fit his style and he’s having to adapt himself, which he’s struggling. In general, managers don’t change and if they do, they struggle hard. Howe way is his way, can’t see him changing. So we either get better players to implement it, or start the uneasy journey of signing different player profiles where we know how it often ends with the manager.

When Bruno other month said we were a mess, that felt very damning. We are able to hook it up at times, but it does feel and even show, that something is off on the training ground.
-
Ah, even more wanky this competition now
-
QFs deep. Would mean 6 games post league phase if we come 9-24 which I think is perfectly acceptable and luck of the draw for who you get in QFs. At this moment, English teams aside, Atletico and Bayern would be only sides I fear over two legs. Rest I back ourselves for it to be very close.
-
True, after that it’s open season for QF/SF, unless they changed it? Would make sense for top 8 to have home leg 2nd all the way.
-
It’s a joke how the big clubs keep getting inflated fees for youths. Bobb is an exciting player but he’s not been same since his injury and even then that break out was a few games
-
May be weird, but I’d back ourselves more to go deep in UCL than to finish top 4 in prem. There are some talented sides, but they are all weak defensively and can be got at. If you get 2nd game a home leg in L16 / QFs / SFs, anything is possible IMO.

Absolute nailed on confident we’ll win this like 3-0. Full on press and they won’t cope. Basically a cup final mentality where we know one win cements us at worse a home 2nd tie KO tie. Team prediction: Pope: Miley, Thaiw, Botman, Hall: Joelinton, Bruno G, Ramsey: Gordon, Wissa, Elanga This is what Wissa joined for, so for Christ sake it should be a star performance from him
-
Him and Elanga lining up on right side Fans would have a fit at the missed placed passes and poor touches between them.

Isn’t issue not the money, but our wages? Until our revenues increase, we’re limited to what we can do wages wise which is what the new PSR rules hurt us more? Like we could spend £200m on 4 players, but if it’s like £600k pw wage increase, we can’t do that. Why we need to sign some raw players on low wages, so we then can give likes of Tino the better wages when they perform. Otherwise we have to play hard ball because all our wages is tied up in average squad players.
-
It’s not half a season. Been consistently performing at a really good output since he went to Forest. Was superb at u21s and is still delivering. Tonali is off form, but he always had limitations in his passing game, but that’s not a problem if he’s singing and others are in form.
-
Nah, we’d have recalled him by now. It’s more we will recall him if Hall breaks down by end of window. Burn will go back to LB rotation option.
-
Isak still here, we’d have signed 5 because he clearly wanted a second striker. Just think without Isak situation, the targets may have been different or we not signed someone like Ramsey.
-
Think it’s simple as for me, had Isak situation not happened, we signed Mbeumo and then added Ramsey / Thaiw, we’d be where Villa are.
-
Our fans just don’t seem to want to accept he’s one of the top midfielders in this league. Showed it again on Saturday against a really good side. We won’t be able to afford him though, but he’s the type of midfield profile we need to sign in summer, which can then push Bruno further forward.
-
I back howe to improve younger players, but there’s a chance he may well be thinking “I’ve shown I’m a top manager, I want to compete for all the trophies so I need players that are proven. Back me, or I may need to leave”. His stock is that high, he can take the top jobs if they’re there as much as named guys like Alonso.
-
I don’t think if we got a new manager we would be any better with this current sqaud. Been moulded in a way that has it limitations and it would still show. Question moving forward in summer is will we be signing players we desperately need for someone different in squad, or continue on same squad build? Because same road could set us back years. We can’t afford another summer of Wissa / Ramsey / Elanga. Probably can go big on one top end, then 3-4 rough diamonds, who are technically very good, but need working on game play set up, decisions etc. They then also have a better future sale because of PSR landscape, but would Howe want that? If he’s going to lose Willock, Schar, Trippier, Krafth and maybe one of our named players, is he going to be want those replacements? Or a wave of guys who are 24+ again.
