Likely thinking Trippier is back, Krafth too soon, with Burn back end of the month, we don’t need anyone. Injuries or not, we needed to make signings this window because squad still isn’t fully there. I’d be really dismayed if we ended window having done no business and Willock / Osula are still here. We’re so slow at moving.

8 weeks was what I expected. Essentially out until after March internationals. Don’t see the point in rushing him back for Sunderland / Cup Final. Give him a proper rest that follows that, then have him ready to go for April where it could be a major run needed to get UCL.
-
Regardless, their defence is depleted so we have to go full throttle from the off and gamble we don’t done too much in-behind. Alleyne / Kushanov may have potential, but being put under pressure, with a crowd on them, they could easily do silly stuff. Nunes / O’Reily at full backs won’t help them either because they’re inexperienced in those roles.

If UCL ended now, would be PSV or Qarabag away before Man City. Get those miles in going to Qarabag

I just fucking hope we’re not acting all captain hindsight again come February. One more injury in defence, mostly to Hall, that sees him out for 4 weeks (minor) and that’s it, fucked. Most of us know it, but let’s not end up in a situation where we’re potentially playing a defence of something like this for back to back games in that run: Miley, Thaiw, Burn, Trippier Trippier, Miley, Thaiw, Burn

Yea. This summer coming, we only want to sign one CB, not two. Then in 2027 the options will be: 1) Extend Burn deal because he’s still a useful squad player and sell Botman, because he’s been 2nd fiddle to Burn (contract extension preserves value) and we sign a top CB. 2) Botman is back to 22/23, Burn is a natural time to let go, we sign a young CB. 3) We keep both because of PSR still restricting us, after we’ve blown money elsewhere.

Probably got his London home still. And as much as Villa are doing well this season, Spurs finances still make them a capable side if they get a competent manager in, because they will still spend in summer.
-
That is the last midfielder Spurs need, Christ. I like Gallagher, but their current midfield profile, they badly need someone who can progress the ball.
-
Yea. Brentford could still have eyes on Europe via league so could rest a load which makes it winnable again.
-
Alright, got Targett back to offer depth.
-
Most likely looking at Spurs (A), Villa (A), UCL KO (A), Man City (A) UCL KO (H) as a run for end of Feb

Wonderful, another hard game and away.
-
It’s going to a mundane prem away game
-
Stinky for Brighton fans that.
-
Fingers crossed the worse of his injuries is over, and we get a clean run of Botman. At worse, it protects his value as we head towards 2027 and Burn likely is off.

The last part is surely on Howe though keeping it together? We had no fucking DoF for the window A CEO who was on way out and no replacement at the time. Think we give far too much credit to what’s happening up stairs, when it’s on the pitch from what was set up multiple seasons back that’s still pulling out the stops.
-
Vini they need to get rid of anyway. Plenty were buying into him, Mbappe their star player for example. He just wasn’t backed (likely linked to your first point), so with the issues they have in CM/CB, it’s not really a surprise they’re not cleaning up every game. Still been perfectly fine for a first season. Can’t be win win win mode every giving game, got to reshape the team and have an off season.
-
Poor decision making really, having your first choice RB be the back up LB. Means little rest for them, because in a game one of Trippier or Hall would likely need to come off and Tino is the guy to come on.
-
That’s down to the coach, not the business we’re doing off the pitch. Theres a difference to being run by amateurs that’s separate to what Howe is doing. No training stuff, no ground stuff, signings that are not improving us, over spending, sponsorships not flowing at pace needed. It’s clear what is happening on the pitch from Howe over past 24 months is different to what is happening off it.
-
Bringing him back now rather than 12 days ago, better late than never, but it’s reactive stuff again. Why has Tino situation changed things when we needed a LB anyway.
-
Someone really shit please at home. Talking L1 or lower. UCL knock out is the midweek after so preferably won’t to be in a position to rest plenty / get minutes for others.
-
Get those yellow and green scarves out you mugs.

This is glorious. Just silence.

What the heck was that from Brighton. Some times you just need to smash it long

Think there's a valid argument we are since Staveley left. Take our strongest XI that most would say it is currently on paper: Pope: Tino, Thaiw, Burn, Hall: Joelinton, Bruno G, Tonali: Gordon/Barnes, Wolte, Barnes/Murphy. Aside the striker which was a forced change because of the Isak debacle, since Stavely gone, we've made one improvement to the first XI. since start of 23/24 season (as Tino/Hall progressed into side). And that's been Thaiw, someone we've seemingly had on our radar since 2022/23 and went back to him after failing on other targets.
