  1. Think Murphy needs to calm down on crosses this game, none of them working and means there’s fuck all sustained pressure on the right unlike on left.
  2. Need Tonali to step up here in midfield, been quite poor and he needs to be quality with Bruno on bench.
  3. One of these corners and free kicks will clear first man this game…
  4. These long throws need ditching, never seen one work and just loses possession easily.
  5. Like that, trying a daft overheard when a simple knock down to two free players was on.
  6. Good tempo, but lacking quality on ball and decision making so far.
  7. Sort of team I expected, Murphy in and a change up in midfield for freshness. Confident we’ll win.
  8. And that proves the point, they held onto them far too long. Reiss Nelson another one. Don't know why people are so reluctant to let him go. He's shown nothing to warrant the potential tag, just a likeable mad man.
  9. Issue with Botman, yea he can be great, but you can't build success on a defence where your CB is always out for a period of time. Then wanting £120k+ on top for someone who's still not been capped by his country is some gamble.
  10. If anything, this start to the season should tell everyone that the full back we can’t skimp out on. Need someone where when Hall is out and Tino goes LB, the drop off is not mental. Likes of KWP are big drop offs. Need someone who’s technical and progressive with the ball. Whether that’s a LB (and RCB signing to replace Schar can also cover RB) or a RB and Tino goes LB, it has to be of strong quality. We need players in our defence who can progress the ball forward. After this season, Krafth / Trippier shouldn’t be considerations anymore IMO.

Ah, some reason thought it was Fulham before Sunderland. In that case, 30 mins against Leverkusen then. Maybe even a start for 60 mins so Wolte is rested well before Sunderland.
  12. Any inside news on this guys injury?
  13. If we don’t get him tied down on a new deal by season end and he goes off to England World Cup camp, we’ll need to prepare for the worse. Won’t just be Man City who are after him when he has 2 years left and low wages to raise up. Need to nip it in the bud quick. Rather we signed no-one in January if it meant we prioritised new deals for players so we are then able to evaluate what the room is to buy in Summer / who needs to be sold. Because Tino / Hall to name two are more key to our future then signing whoever in January.
  14. So we keep hold of him for another 24 months in hope he develops elsewhere on loan? All it takes is for that loan moan to be a bad one, and any future sale is permanently gone. At 22, no clubs keep hold of players at this age. They’re either part of first team squad or sold, because the last remaining value is there.
  15. Only reason I can see us going back in for him, would be the clubs scouting and data still say he's the best available for a long term option. So it's £20m+ on Ramsdale or Trafford for same, and it's missed once, not to miss again.

Pleasantly surprised common sense has come out on top here. Think he will be on the bench for Burnley game now (more so for the game warm up / cool down), with 30 minutes to come against Fulham.
  17. It's a tough one the full back. Lewis Hall is the legit star at LB, so it will be tough to entice someone established or justify spending big on one when Hall is the long term future. Like Grimaldo I'd love, but just not viable for all those reasons. Then other options are a younger LB, who may not see much game time but then we already have a young LB. Or it's a middle grade LB, like we've tried with Kelly. Think we need to for a RB and accept that Tino can cover LB, but when he does that, we need a top RB. Three top full backs can be rotated more in that situation to manage workload. Wesley summer gone would've been a tasty one to gamble on, may still be a useful one to look at in summer though. Seen as bit of a joke, but Dalot would interest me too.
  18. He's a bit shit, 22 and never going to play any serious minutes for us. If there's a small profit to be made, and an option to bring back incase he suddenly kicks on, then we have to gobble it up.
  19. I bloody hope we kill them like other year, talking 4-0 at HT. Overall, if we start fast and score early, they will collapse IMO. They've given up on Frank, but don't allow them hope though. I'd be going with same side but Tonali in for Joelinton just for a freshness to midfield 3.
  20. Literally Allison told him to calm down. Bowen as captain too. Ignored both
  21. Proper heads gone. He's such a weird guy.
  22. Oh great, not allowed to win the ball in slide tackles any more. Modern game is shite.
