Ah, the classic "We don't see anything wrong with the knee", then later it requires knee surgery and 3+ months out.
-
I want to be optimistic, but then the stats last season when Dub came in and we suddenly started to shift in more chances and goals says otherwise. Either that just coincided with everything else going to shit, or we’re fucked. Because we’re conceding chances quite a bit already.
-
Scenes when Ruddy makes the bench ahead of him in Pope absence too God I hope we can recoup some money like £10m for him in Jan/Summer.
-
Better end product than Gordon already
-
Pretty much the last window to get money for him, so makes sense we are open to offers. Feels £15m-£20m is a reasonable expectation. Do think he would be a very useful player for a lot of sides in bottom half of Prem, and for him, a chance to remain a regular in Prem on a nice final contract.

Greek guy has to be played surely. At least he’s better with his feet to give us something over being weak in goal. Just waiting now for Willock to get injured and Isak a routine knock that sees him miss a few games
-
Good goal annoyingly.

Antony efforts so bad
-
This was what I wanted last January and the consensus from people was we can't, because it'll impact qualifying for Europe Going to be same shit again. Just get rid of guys if any offers are there who are not considered first teamers come August 2025. No risk of going down, rather roll the dice of a thin squad and pack it out with limited youths in order to get rid of players ready for a fresh summer. Instead of rolling the dice and hope likes of Almiron make an impact that results in Europe.
-
Get's reduced after a period of time. Clubs could do that in contracts, but then they would miss out on players so it's never a thing.
-
Antony just feels a more expensive, younger Almiron, but with the cunt persona. Also rather not help Man Utd get rid of their deadwood. If spending money at Man Utd and they want sales, better throwing £20m at Shae Lacey who will be the next top thing.
-
They’ve spent already, just need to make the right buys. Selling of their academy wave has fucked them too IMO. Lavia / Palmer / Harwood-Bellis / Delap all are players that can contribute to their first team, but got sold to fund likes of Kovacic / Doku etc. Feels we’ve seen the peak of Man City as a club now, and they could have a spell of like Chelsea in the 2010s. Up and down, but will get it right again as a new wave of kids come through later this decade with some strong buys (because they will always have funds).
-
KDB legs gone and Foden form gone. That’s all their creativity gone. Their transfer business has been fucking awful too. Savinho / Doku as wingers is bad. Like West Ham have better wingers Then defensively, Walker has dropped off a cliff, and they have no other natural full backs.

Good job we’ve used Osula loads recently.

One thing that will dictate some our deals in coming windows are the wages. Kelly aside who's just an utter joke car crash of a signing for his wages, if Isak signs a new deal (I expect him too) you are looking at: Joelinton, Bruno, Gordon, Isak, Tonali all on that £150k ball park sums. CB you probably expect to be a signing that's on close to that figure, so other positions need to be on those £60k-£80k wages which I assume Elanga would be (and I suspect others we get linked with). Essentially, till revenues grow quite a bit, our increases in wages won't be huge, but redistributed around the squad as players go.

Yea, failed. Not one success, so just all about getting into the presale if I don't forget due to work. Not sure what the perk of the membership is for next season?
-
Suppose it depends on what the value and the locking in would be. Summer 2022, £30m a year, 10 year deal. Summer 2025, £45m a year 8 years deal. Same value (if you take the missed two years) on its face value (no bonuses), but in same time frame, the jump up from £45m to £70m more achievable then £30m to that.

Saudi Airlines feels a slam dunk bigger sponsor, and it linked to World Cup. Already do in some capacity, but it to be ramped up. Fly Saudi World Cup 2034.
-
Lookman a prime example of there’s talent in Prem, even if their output is bad because of their surroundings.
-
There must be some strong underlying stats to Elanga to keep us interested? And at his age, something the club can see extracting more out of. I wouldn’t be against Elanga, but that would be in a position of us being able to spend on a few players. Him being the only ‘named’ signing would be proper underwhelming.

Got one away point all season.

Bromley at home seems like a logical first full start? Can’t see him being played before giving the intensity those games will have.
-
But he didn’t. Love an Ashworth bash, but don’t think he’s done anything wrong here. Club wanted Amorim, he had doubts and wanted to run some analytics on him further before a decision is made, instead of going “He chats well and a charmer, let’s hire”. Basically wanted some processes in place to back decision. Brexit Jim wanted the old fashioned, make your decision like it’s a 1980s board room. Modern day football is nothing like that, and why Nice are a mess under Jim and looks like Man Utd will be going same way.
-
That article really does make Brexit Jim seem even worse. Guy just can’t understand modern day rules and importantly, how football works. Literally appointed a manager based on charisma and nothing else. Yea, that’s going to end in tears and will be glorious.

Not even going to have any emotion or opinion before this game. Burnt too many times this season, just take it as it comes at 3pm and see you all at 5pm.
