Just realised it’s Traore v Burn Despite how shite Traore is, he’s going to look world class.
-
Hopefully we get a normal Joelinton. If he turns in another shocker, he will need a prolonged spell out.

Nervous now the game day has arrived. Fulham at home always seems like an iffy game that we never get the better of. Even when we won 3-0 other season, they were all over us then Jiminez got sent off and we took control. As much as I want a lovely cushioned win, think it’ll be same stuff again. Score draw at worse or a nervous 1 goal win.

Losing to Go Ahead Eagles is something.

And they went out in first knock out round. No different to them being horrendous in a group stage, going through on 9 points because they beat 4th seed twice, and 3rd seed at home, then went out next round. They still had jeopardy going into final game which a club like them shouldn’t do. Also an extra KO round is always fun, as that’s where margin for area is reduced.

Those numbers feel way off giving the number that are regularly in the queue. One thing I wish they did (unless there is already this) is ability to add a push notification for when tickets are about to go on member sale. Unless I physically input in my own calendar to get notification, i sometimes forget and it’s too late if I remember at 10:05. Small thing.

Think it will be just Tonali and Barnes in for Miley and Murphy IMO. After scoring two at RW, you have to start Barnes because of the confidence he could have. Could be a mess, but you got to do it. Ramsey needs a run of games and Joelinton needs a prolonged rest for once. Then it’s a Miley, Tonali, Joelinton midfield for Spurs league cup as Bruno / Ramsey get a rest.

I’ve not seen any improvement since the new guy came in. If anything, look worse We tried short corners to work a different angle first few games, but that’s been rightly shelved. Get Tindall back on it.
-
Think it will be whoever is available that’s on our list and is attainable in January. By end of August we will have signed both a LB and RB IMO, but it may be RB comes Jan and LB summer. Do think the RB will be a raw younger player and LB a more experienced guy. So RB would be better signing in Jan as they get at least 5 months learning from Trippier.

Discomfort in his groin As expected after he’s started quite a few games in a row. That was an issue he always had at us, and I was convinced he always needed to have groin surgery and the constant rest for a week or two was just delaying things. Liverpool will probably realise if they want Isak to come good, they need to get him under the knife and accept he’s out till late Feb.

Etitike everywhere, Isak just plodding through the middle.

German sides, Bayern aside, are fucking shit. None of them want to defend, such a joke league.
-
We did second half, first half unless my memory has merged into other games it was a bit iffy, for a side that is shite?

Feels like I keep saying this for league games, but this is huge. Really need to start clicking in the league, and I’m not talking scrapping another win like we did against Wolves / Forest. Need an actual 90 min performance to back up yesterday, that we then can take into the two London away games. 9 points is what we need, as that should at worse leave us hopefully just 3 points off top 5. Anything less, and the gap is in danger of growing to like 7+. Which whilst with 27 games left isn’t a disaster, it’s not ideal playing catch up.

Thought it was clear from all the stuff that came out after, that the not for the sale stance ended a lot earlier then it being the final few days. Liverpool come back earlier in window with £125m, he’d have been off.

Sometimes players don’t want to push for the wages if they’re settled. The wage rise will come naturally. Once someone gets to £200k, there’s then like a very small amount of clubs who can pay more than that if you want to stay in Europe. Italy is off for him, then it’s just PSG, Bayern, Real, Barca and the English sides. And whilst Tonali is a rolls Royce for us, the other clubs may view him at £250k pw and £100m fee as not worth it which is great for us.

I like the format as the table shifts over time. We’re just in a good place as after our 2nd hardest game, we then had a Pot 4 away and two home games where it should always be 9 points if you are a good side. Others will have trickier starts, but then play their easier games towards the end so there is a shift in positions. Plus every position counts as you roughly know who you could be facing when it comes to final match day.

Is that the prem in general? I assume contributing factor is referees more happy to play on now and especially in recent seasons, not buying into the soft fouls on strikers in central positions.

Still don’t understand why he didn’t play the games as striker at start of season. Finishing one on ones is his bread and butter.
