There’s the classic one easy ball behind our flat midfield Fuck me. This is West Ham.
-
If we had a dial on our intensity, it’s alike 20 out of 100. Don’t know why we’ve purposely dialled it down, as we’re a shit side with the ball and can’t play this passive way.
-
Like i am proper sick of us this season and how crap we are in first half of games. It’s a fundamental issue at this point.
-
Fuck me. This is fucking awful. Our full backs are disgusting with the ball, and so they know just double on Bruno / Tonali as a press.
-
Backheeling that instead of clearing it
-
Yea, this is shit from us
-
Hopefully this wakes us up, as despite 1-0, we’ve not started really. Been sloppy and a post and now a small touch is saving us.
-
Small touch may resuce us here. Massive get out of jail.
-
That’s so shit from Gordon. Lost the ball, then didn’t track Bowen run.
-
Don’t know why we’ve now sat off. West Ham are shit, don’t just sit off and let them build into the game.
-
He 100% should be ahead of Bowen. Said it before, but Saka is main guy. You then want a RW who’s just completely different and Murphy on this form is best there is for it. Just a direct crossing merchant that Kane would love.
-
Murphy is a joke Get him to the World Cup.
-
That all started from Gordon passing inside to Joelinton who failed to control it
-
We already look to have all the ball, as Wilson is a nothing striker. Only way we drop points here is by being clumsy in possession. We’re sharp, we can kill this first half.
-
Who is there to get under their skin? A kid, Pacqueta and Fernandes. It’s a nothing midfield, which should see Joelinton (and our other CMs) having loads of the ball.
-
Really not keen on Joelinton still starting games when he’s been awful all season. Hopefully I’m proven wrong, but we really need to be moving away from him. Especially against sides we should be dominating the ball. Joelinton feels a very negative choice.

Just flicked on TNT, 3 ex Liverpool players as pundits Balanced views as usual.
-
Had that spell for Brazil as ST where he looked good. But that was with Neymar / Vini Jr around him, not Johnson / Tel etc.
-
Spurs are such a shite team. They have to bottom half by start of the new year now they’re playing the tougher sides. Frank surely won’t last either, bringing his dull / pragmatic football that has a short shelf life at the top end.
-
Simons. He’s yet another player that’s come from Bundesliga who has a rep because the league is slow and there’s acres of space. When he’s actually bang average and flimsy as fuck.
-
If there is ever a 2-0 win on paper game, this is it. Just should be a formality.
-
Also, there’s the chance Brentford just kick the shit out of him, like we’d expect Joelinton to Isak. No need to risk. With Wolte likely playing loads up to and during international break, Wissa in a position to start first 55 at home to Man City to ease load of Wolte should be what we’re aiming for internally.

A superstar winger. If we had a legit top 5 winger, we’d be challenging for league IMO because of how we set up and compete. A winger that comfortably slots in 25 G/A whilst being a constant threat to opposition and requires doubling up is what you need. Every side it feels like that has won / challenged for league even going all way back to Leicester with Mahrez had it. You obviously can’t just get one of those, but you need to unearth one that can grow into that. Elanga 100% won’t be that, neither will Gordon. Both will be efficient over time for us, but neither are that player or will be. Can have many other good players, depth, academy etc. don’t have that star player out wide, there will be a ceiling.
-
What is his shooting stats for us so far? Outside the first couple of games, feels like he rarely has any shots in his appearances now which isn’t ideal.
-
I much prefer when Elanga moves inside with purpose, rather than direct knock and run down the line. The chance for Barnes first half was that, where his ludicrous acceleration over 2-5 yards means opposition can’t track him when he’s coming inside for quick one twos to move the ball. Would like to see his game then develop where he’s then arching his run into the box so if it goes left and played quickly first time in, he’s got a steal on the defence to get the ball first / or it goes to Bruno who plays that delicate ball over which Miggy profited from so much in his purple patch. I would expect that’s what Howe will be trying to coach into him more to improve his game, and the knock and run hit byline is the 2nd option he chooses. At the moment, it seems the default which may be due to lack of confidence / players not on same wave length fully.
