Having just looked it up the winner of the European Conference automatically ualifies for the Europa League the following season - which could be easier than qualifying through the Premier League. So it might be worthwhile if we could win it. Obviously I would much rather be in the Champions League but winning that is unlikely. We are not one of the best few teams in Europe and are unlikely to be any time soon. But winning the Europa League in a couple of years time would be a genuine achievement. So maybe a place in the Conference could be better than no place on the Conference.

Not sure I want is to be in the Conference. Extra games will make us tired, effecting us in the League and cups. I want us to finish above the Mackems though

Centre backs Schar and Burn's futures are behind them, Botman has made a lot of mistakes since he was injured. Tonali appears to be finding his own way out. Joelinton and Willock are very limited andgetting older. Elanga, Wissa, Wolte and Murphy aren't offering much and Gordon and Barnes aren't highly rated by all. It's not just a case of hitting a bit of form. To over perform consistently needs a big change in personal not just a bit of tinkering around the edges. Howe maybe as good as any of the realistic alternatives in doing that.

The guy at Dortmund was Edin Terzic. He got Dortmund to the Champions League final but only 5th in the league. He was part of Slaven Bilic's coaching staff at West Ham and left when they sacked Bilic. Has an FA coaching badge. He's available having left Dortmund out of his own choice. Having has a year off he has said he wants to come back into management. At 44 I have previously suggested looking at him. My main concern would be that noone else has picked him up over the last few months. Spurs had a look at him before appointing Henry. But we are unlikely to be able to attract the really top coaches as they will go to the really big clubs. So he maybe a realistic option and a decent choice. Dortmund were very impressive against us.

I think this group of players is finished. It's not just a new coach needed to motivate them and make them gel. Or a couple of signings. Hall, Bruno, Miley are good enough, Tonali can be brought back, the others can go. If Howe is prepared to make big changes of personnel in the summer, then give him another go. If he's not then find someone who is

I think it must now be seen as a poor window in summer 2025. We are over half way through the season now. Unless there is a big change, which I am not expecting, three of the big signings (Wolte, Wissa and Elanga) will need moving on this next summer.

Joelinton has, for the last few times he has played, just run around like a thug and not achieved anything. We need someone to break open defences with skill, not just clattering them. Schar wasn't out worst player, Ramsay probably was. But Ramsey has age on his side. Schar isn't as good as he was and hasn't been playing as well as Burn and Botman. Tonight he seemed to me to be relying on Thiaw.

Be difficult at the moment to persuade the quality of player we need to actually join us. We need better than mid tbke players but we are currently a mid table set up

I think we have been having difficulty this season in large because we haven't had the confidence that we can score goals. I think that it's not just effected Eddie but the whole team. I think we should see what happens when Wissa has a few games under his belt. If we as a team start scoring goals the confidence will come back quickly. If it doesn't and it starts to look like it's time for new management I think that we need to remember last summer when our top transfer targets chose to go elsewhere, to places they perceived to be bigger clubs. I think the same will happen with top flight managers who become available. We need someone who can consistently make the club outperform it's PSR limitations. Only Emery and possibly Glastner and Frank are doing that in the Premier League. I can't see Emery or Frank coming our way and I wouldn't be surprised if Glastner goes to Manure. So we are looking to the continent to coaches we don't really know. I think if the time comes I would want to find out if the role would motivate ex Dortmund boss Edin Turzic to step back into management. But at the moment I would stick with Eddie

Wissa is obviously not ready yet so we continue to play without a proper goalscorer. So we aren't killing off games. Hopefully come the new year Wissa will settle in, do well, and we will become an attacking threat. We might then get away with our leaky defence.

West Ham played their best game against us, Leeds played well against us, Fulham played well against us as did Brentford and Bournemouth. All of whom are struggling to pick up points this season - but they play well against us.
