The result matters less so here than a lot of other fixtures as we're long odds to win regardless. What I'd really like to see is some semblance of identity, composure on the ball, a lot of effort, and solid changes ingame by Eddie. Can we do that? Yes! Will we? Have we identified midfield as a sore spot? Links to midfielders when we've got a youngster in Miley and bedding in Ramsay. Trafford has looked a little shakey and a bit of a flapper from the matches I've seen in the past. I'm not massively interested but we've seen how Eddie pursues players and likes to 'get his man', like Thiaw this year.

I mean I agree there would be no point in doing so and I never stated as such. I do think however that the strength of feeling/momentum could sway things that way. Hopefully not. I don't believe just because it's happened before it'll just happen again. Would be nice if it did though and would love to see it. Mental trying to keep up with this thread. I think the overall sentiment matches my own, that Howe deserves more time. That said, I'm not as confident as some others about how long. Quite a few saying he'll have to the end of the season and similar. I'm not so sure like. I hope Eddie can pull off another minor miracle and I love the guy, but I suspect if we're in the relegation slots by Christmas, things might boil over. There's arguably only 1 'easy' league match (Burnley) in the run-up and we're only 2 points above 18th now. We've no form and nee confidence. Wishing it changes fast after the break.
