Aye. More money to spend, bigger wages to offer, and maybe he likes living in London. Suppose our selling point is that he'll be a key player whereas at Chelsea he'll be heavily rotated, but that seems to entice fewer players than we like to think
-
The Athletic reporting Chelsea in talks for him now
-
Didn't he say the same thing about the Guehi deal at one point last summer?
-
That's what I was thinking, otherwise they might have been looking at him as a number 10/CAM, but doesn't Palmer play there? In either case he'd be sitting on the bench for them.
-
Chelsea customers seem outright incensed at the idea of them buying Joao Pedro
-
What position would Chelsea even want him for? Surely he'd be on the bench there
-
In the video he says Chelsea like him and are "having conversations because they like Joao Pedro" while we are actively working on the deal
-
He appears to have removed the £125m figure and changed it to "with a certain amount to spend"
-
Romano cheekily claiming this as an exclusive
-
Martin Hardy had it last night tbf

I'm wondering if we have two different ranges of targets for CB: a couple of more established names in the £50-60m range and then a few in the Livramento/Hall mold in the £30-40m range. Then what happens with our targets in other positions + sales could then determine which group of targets we select from later in the window.

Brighton obviously briefing about rejecting, if the other club was real surely they'd also leak their name for full effect

He's not as fast as Elanga but more technical and probably more creative overall. I don't think he'd have an issue adapting to the physicality of the PL but probably doesn't have the insane training routine of Elanga. Agree on Elliott. Looks good for the U21s but in a four front season-long campaign I wouldn't want him as our main RW.
-
Akliouche fits the general Howe blueprint in that he works very hard and intelligently off the ball, but imagine Monaco would be demanding in the same region of what Forest want for Elanga (£60-70m)
-
Sounds absolutely perfect for what we need
-
Pedro offering this plus Trafford offering the ability for us to play out from the back has me excited that we're going to see some new dynanism in the team next season. Exactly what we need
-
Not sure Wilson can anymore at our level either
-
Wonder who our alternatives to Pedro would be. Haven't seen any other names linked for the positions he covers
-
Hey it's movement at least (yes I'm coping) Aggregating the fee for two transfers into one figure is heinous journalism though
-
Good watch! Thought it was interesting that he spent 8 months specifically training his left foot shooting Seems like a very intelligent and hard-working lad.
