£90 for Stan Smiths and the build quality has dropped on them significantly.

Oh my bad. Just when you said there was nobody else I thought you were suggesting it as a genuine idea.

Is that not just his eczema rash

It's probably about 20 years since Keegan last signed a player (deliberately not including any of the signings we made under Keegan whilst Ashley was here as I very much doubt he wanted many or any of them). The game and the players has moved on a lot in that time. I reckon Keegan would be like a fish out of a water trying to buy a player these days, what with players and agents being extra pampered and wanting X, Y and Z in their contracts as well as numerous clauses and whatever else. At 74 he probably just can't be arsed with any of it.
-
You reckon João Pedro for example knows who Keegan is? He may very well do but doubt he'd give a toss what he has to say about Newcastle when Chelsea and London are calling.
-
Yeah I'm fully aware of that. Oba Martins admitted he had no idea who Keegan was in 2008 when we appointed him as manager. Luke Shaw told Lampard he had no idea who Tony Adams was.
-
I can't think of any negotiating skills Keegan has to offer for any potential signings. He might be able to romanticise about the club but most footballers these days probably won't even know who Keegan is.
-
Wouldn't say it makes no sense. For starters we'd have sold one player and replaced him with a better one.

McGinn is a good player. Too old and expensive for us though I'd imagine.
-
We've not done much right this window but getting £7m for a 36 year old GK is very impressive.

There's keeping Isak and then there's keeping an Isak that doesn't want to be here. Either way, if he's carrying an injury or not, he won't be starting for us next weekend at Villa even if he is our player. He's had no pre-season.

I absolutley love Eddie Howe me. I know every fan is different in terms of emotional levels of attachment, but I rarely if ever try and get emotionally invested in footballers for the exact reasons Isak has shown. I know they're humans too and their careers are short but they don't half act like spoilt brats at the best of times. They're clearly not (and never have been) the heroes and Gods you thought they were when you were growing up watching them as a kid. The only two I'd be genuinley gutted if we were to lose them would be Howe and Bruno. Bruno isn't as good as Isak or Tonali for example, but he's completley invested in us and he's really bought into everything at Newcastle.

Imagine Mitrovic in Howe's press.
