Don’t have any photos of it before I applied the paste but this is it after I had managed to whiten it. Photos doesn’t do it justice as it actually ended up a lot whiter than the stripes on the body of the shirt. Youre messing with quite a bit of peroxide by combining the three ingredients I mentioned above, I went overkill as the collar was like SSNs breaking news ticker. All I can say is if you’re going to follow the above method then take it easy to start and gradually increase it. @MidfieldGeneral @Harry 209

For reference the stains that it removed were the yellowing from cigarettes so not sure if it’d work on actual food stains or anything like.

Sprayed the collar with Sainsbury’s home made stain remover and let it soak for about 20 mins. Then made a paste from The Pink Stuffs oxi powder remover (specifically designed for whites), a little baking soda and a sachet of Dr Beckmanns whitening powder. Combined the three with a little warm water until it was a thick paste and rubbed it in with a toothbrush. Let that soak for about 1hr then gave it a delicate wash with a scoop of The Pink Stuffs white stain remover. After 1 wash it was 90% gone. Gave it another wash with the same white stain remover the next day and the collar was basically back to normal. Both washes were 20degrees 1 hour each. already had all the whitening powders and stain removers thankfully so just had to buy the baking soda and toothbrush!

Aye I packed it up as soon as it failed the eye test and before I even started googling original name sets. First time I’ve used CFS so was assumed they had done their research before flogging it.

The thickness in the black and white borders is a giveaway also.

Aye that’s what I’m after please bud.

Have you got an original with original lettering @Harry 209 that I can compare against before I send it back? It’s packed away just want to be doubly sure.
-
Nah it’s the felt and double layered but can’t tell straight away that it’s not right. The letters are smaller, thinner and more compact than the original name sets from the 90s. The Asprilla and 11 are both brand spanking new and pearly white. No aging whatsoever, clearly purchased from a third-party site and recently printed on the shirt. Sickener like as the shirt is in absolutely incredible condition.

Sheff Utd 0-3 Hull.

Is he not? (Genuine question).

Returning. Shirt is an original and in great condition but it’s a fake nameset. Bastards.

And to think he had the audacity on one his recent podcasts to have a pop at Shearer for kicking Lennon in the head.

I thought this trial was done and he got let off?

The NUFC 95/97 home shirt I bought from eBay the other week arrived and stunk of tabs and collar was yellowed. Wasn't so fussed about the collar as after a few delicate washes and bleaching with some peroxide I got it bright white again and a few more washes to get rid of the smell. Out of curiosity ended up emailing Classic Football Shirts how much they'd pay for it and they offered me £100 or £150 store credit. Took the credit and bagged an Asprilla #11 home shirt thats out for delivery today.
