Gutted we didn't get Bobb, he's miles better than Elanga. Well done Fulham on a pretty major coup for them. I thought bigger clubs would be in for him. If we could get money in for big Willy we could invest in a half decent striker to challenge for that number 9 position. I'm not optimistic though.

As much as I love big Nick, I reckon Wissa will start with Gordon and Barnes either side of him. Nick has hit a slump in form, and while I don't think Wissa has been much better (3 tap ins), he's better suited to the counter attacking football that will no doubt be employed. This is his night to become a proper Newcastle player and score a couple on the break.

I couldn't possibly predict how this goes. We've been poor in the PL but done better in the CL. PSG however are the reigning champions so it's going to take one hell of a performance with a bit of luck and PSG having a bad day at the office. We can laugh at Liverpool for spending all that money on the rat and his inability to so far fit in, but they'll be laughing at us for squandering 100 million on players that haven't really improved us. All Elanga has done is make HB raise his level. Not all signings pay off but when we are forced to overpay for two 50 million players it really shows. We're not Man Utd who can have bad transfers, have them be shite, but be able to go out and spend even more money. Our signings have to work because we don't have the financial clout to write them off and spend the same again. I was never sold on Elanga but I thought that Jacob Ramsey would have improved us. Neither have added anything much apart from a bit of (largely ineffective) squad depth. I still believe in big Nick and I've no doubt that Wissa will score goals with better service. He's so far only scored pretty much unmissable chances. I reckon he needs a quality strike to get his confidence soaring. Nick is only going to work out long term if Eddie finds a way to play him in a position that suits him. Fans say we need a playmaker, he's the guy.

I watched the second half of Hearts v Celtic on Sky Sports and by god the commentators were pure biased. It was like watching Celtic TV. I thought commentators were meant to be impartial?

Add to that the Bundesliga runners up and champions the season before, a very good Spanish side and an excellent Marseille team. We've definitely had the hardest fixtures. Even PSV have been decent, they've failed to score in only one match before tonight all season and they pumped Liverpool at Anfield and Napoli.

One last thing. If our fixtures had been equal to the other English teams, we'd surely have a much easier final game. It's rigged and corrupt I say.
