Can't defend the indefensible however I'm sure Isak would have made be the following points. Where is my new contract with the pay rise I was promised? Where is the new training ground you promised? Where is the new stadium you promised? Where is the ambition to be number 1? Where are the top class players to help grow the club? He is a twat don't get me wrong but the club are not going to come out of the past few months with their reputation enhanced.

Well we beat Liverpool with Isak and without him IMO we drop from 5th to around 8th or 9th. If we don't sign a striker at least at Wissa's level it will be mid table.

Until the window closes it's too early to jump to too many conclusions but how about this. Even with a motivated Isak (extremely unlikely) and Wissa (who knows) we are unlikely to finish higher than 5th and with the questions marks about them both that's being optimistic. Without Isak and even with two good strikers (looking very unlikely) we are somewhere between 5-9th presuming that we get two good strikers and Spurs and Man U among others under perform. Buy just Wissa and we are probably around 8th. In conclusion spending 60m on the likes of Jackson or JSL or someone similar will probably still mean we don't get top 6 or 7 so why do it. Look again in January or next summer and learn the lessons from this summer.

He's as ineffective as Jackson, we really shouldn't be looking at these really average and that's being kind strikers. Wissa yes he's reasonably good.

At the beginning of the transfer window if someone had suggested Jackson as the lead striker they would have been mocked relentlessly and quite rightly so. The fact that we have fucked up the window so far in terms of strikers is no reason to suddenly decide that he's actually good and would help us. Rather have no one than overpriced not very good players.

It would come down to who would pay Brentford the most money first and second who would pay the most salary to Wissa. I think we know the answer.
