Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

We can compete with the wages they can offer, but firstly we don't want to and secondly we don't want to face the possible PSR repercussions further down the line. -
Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

I believe Ekitike's release clause is 86m Pounds, so offer that and either we get him or Liverpool have to offer at least the same to get him. If Liverpool get him then they won't be getting Isak for at least 12 months maybe never. -
Chelsea's press is very impressive.
-
No. But history tells No but history tells us we are terrible sellers. Anyhow rather sell Willock than Sean.
-
I see we remain the champions of not selling players before their contracts run out/they become of no use at all for us. Kelly must have been a blip.
-
Kudus would appear to have a lot more to his game than Elanga for the same kind of money.
-
Not sure where the idea has come from that Gordon can play as a CF. He might have played as a false nice for the under 21s but when he's played there for us he's looked terrible.
-
Even though nobody apart from us is apparently interested in signing Elanga, if I was Forest I'd hold out for more and make us pay through the nose which at anything over 40m we already will be.
-
With Forest not wanting or needing to sell IMO this will cost us 65m to get it done which is more than Mbeumo, Cunha and Madueke.
-
Unnecessarily petty coming from you. I thought you were better than that.
-
He'll want a big pay rise and a favourable release clause before he signs a new one.
-
Wonder what Isak and our better players will think when they rock up at work next week and there are no new players signed and the only one likely to turn up will be another reserve goalkeeper. They will have read about all the players that we have been linked with who either don't want to come here or we can't afford. Maybe they don't care.
-
Both Chelsea and Man City are fantastic sellers the best in the league, we I'd imagine are the worst.
-
I admire what Chelsea are doing, they literally dont give a fuck about whatever restrictions are in place and just do what they want. We should stop whining and try doing the same.
-
I'm not sure why at this point, PIF don't just blow the whole thing apart, buy whoever they want, pay the wages required and see what the premier league do. Make it political, whisper that it's anti saudi/arab and dare Masters/UK government to fine, relegate, sanction or penalise the Saudi owned NUFC. Speak with Villa, Forest and other clubs in a similar situation to us and get them to do the same thing. Alternatively we continue to struggle to compete with the six existing clubs whose revenue is off the charts compared to us and in some cases always will be.

Newcastle and Burnley are still far apart in their valuation of James Trafford, with the Magpies having had an initial bid worth £25m for the 22-year-old England Under-21s goalkeeper turned down. (Sky Sports)
-
Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez for £45m, though the 32-year-old Argentina goalkeeper is believed to prefer a move to Manchester United. (Mirror) So maybe Chelsea will let us have Trafford but then again......

For what its worth and taking into account the unreliability of much of the reporting into transfer links that we are reading, this seems a very unoriginal predictable group of players we are interested in. They are all overpriced and as soon as there is competition for them we apparently can't afford them. Mbeumo, Delap, Cunha if we were interested, and possibly Pedro if Chelsea really want him. Trafford we will probably get as there is little or no competition though we are going to overpay for him no doubt. Elanga is overpriced at 45m and Forest want much more. It makes you wonder why you would have so many scouts and whatever if this is the best they can come up with. Virtually everyone on this forum could have come up with the names of the players we have been linked with so far. Hopefully as we go into July we will see some new names we are linked with the dont already play in the premier league and cost 60 million quid.

Anybody at Lyon worth us trying to bring in?
-
It's true that on form Burn is a much better bet than Botman. It's also a long time since Botman was fit and actually looked any good. He's no quicker than Burn either.
-
Virtually anybody would be an upgrade on Willock so that's a pretty low bar.
-
That's nasty and I don't mean the Greek.

BBC gossip linking us with Sancho and Grealish. I would find it hard to get behind the team if we brought those two dickheads in.
