A young man still learning his craft, playing in the greatest league in the world, getting better every week. Let's not write him off just yet.......

Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to Tour Singapore
GallowgatePigeon replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
Looking forward to the Celtic game, great club, great fans, great stadium and also a decent level of opposition. Much better than those scummy zombies on the other side of their city. -
Listen Paul, it's not that hard, here's how it goes: GK - New no.1, that much is obvious. Keep Pope or Dubs as no.2, preferably Pope unless we can get a fee for him in which case Dubs is fine. For 3rd choice keeper, try to find a young up and coming English keeper. I know we have Ruddy & Gillespie for the quota thing but they're never going to play so it's a waste of a squad place, go get a keeper who can make something of himself here. Nearly forgot about Vlach. He's a bum. Get him to fuck. LB - Tino, Trips and Burn can cover in Halls absence. Ideally I'd want another real LB but we have more pressing issues this summer. Punt Targett. Jamal Lewis is a fantastic prospect who deserves another chance, start him most weeks. RB - Least of our concerns, providing Trippiers form doesn't fall off a cliff next season. Loan out Ashby or sell him to anyone willing to give us something close to what we paid for him. Krafth is still servicable in an emergency. CB - A purple RCB is priority, pace and youth is a must. Schar is ideal back up for RCB. Botman and Burn are sufficient for LCB. I wouldn't be against taking a chance on a young CB to bring through the ranks with a view of replacing Burn & Schar in the near term. Give Lascelles a painting of a Spitfire and a bouquet of roses and let him ride off into the Championship to see out his days in the lower leagues. CM - Longstaff needs moved on to whoever will take them. He's played his role but the fact of the matter is we have outgrown him and there's reasonable chance of fetching some decent money for him. Willock can go too if the right offer comes in, otherwise he's fine as a rotational piece. We need another 2 CMs (3 if Willock goes), one of them to be in the mould of Joelinton or to at least share his minutes is a must IMO, without Joelinton we lack physicallity and aggression, we need a wrecking ball to set the tone. Get the idea of selling Joelinton into the sea. Bruno, Tonali are unsellable, I wouldn't entertain selling Miley either unless someone offers a kings ransom. RW - Purple is a must. No projects, no fucking around, get us guranteed quality. Murphy is perfectly fine as back up. Get Shola to send Kuol to Partick Thistle or something like that. LW - We good. ST - Watching Wilson now is tragic, send him to the glue factory, he is absoluely finished. Bring in a good striker who is happy to play 2nd fiddle most of the time but will also get his fair share of starts, a Chris Wood type player essentially. Use Osula as a swiss army knife and play him accross the front 3. Sell Isak and we riot. To summarise: Needs in order of priority: RW(purple)>CB(purple)>GK(purple)>CM>ST>CM(project)>CB(project) Spend whatevers left in the piggy bank on youth prospect/PSR flips. I make it sound so simple don't I?

Jammiest bunch of cunts ever, typical Newcastle to be in a week to week shootout with a team like that! If Forest fell into a barrel of thumbs they'd come out sucking a tit.
-
Get yourselves to fuck Forest, spawny cunts

Yaaaaas!

Here I am, worried at the thought of us slipping to the doldrums of 6th place whereas our nearest and dearest have it all figured out already. If cracking the top 4 was so easy you wonder why they've only finished in the top 10 3 times in living memory. For the record, if we indeed did slip to 6th place, that's still higher than they've finished in 70 years. By what metric have us and Villa not been back in the prem long? Since the PL form we've spent a combined 5 seasons out the PL. They nearly spent that in L1 alone!

Tanking for 2 months and killing all momentum and feel good factor going into the play offs is a very bold strategy indeed from Rayjess Le Braiiis
-
100% this. City are nailed on and frankly I'll graciously let them have that after they done us a solid by putting daylight between us and Villa. Villa have a mountain to climb, it's not out of the question that they'll win all their remaining games but surely we'll be home and dry before they could worry us again. The two teams we need to collapse are the ones most likely to. One which is a very limited team in a false position and the other which is a notorious basket case and on the verge of their annual manager sacking. TL:DR; we'll be reet
-
Where do we even begin with this? The overly large, empty football in the centre which is devoted to your rivals, the Tyne Bridge from Temu or the tragic fact that Kevin Phillips is still their undisputed best player of all time.

I'd reccommend any MLF in Marrakesh to visit it's famous sewks to sample some tradishnul Marracan chickpays and grayn tay.

A trophy for finishing 2nd in League 1? Utter Woke Nonsense!
-
Got a link? I need a fix of mackem pain!

I'll tell you exactly what all this 'W in the chat' 'Take the L' 'We got the dub' malarkey is. It is Utter Woke Nonsense.

Could it be that we intend to use him as a Swiss army knife and play him anywhere across the front? The coaching staff must see something in him, and eventhough he is as mad as a box of frogs he seems to have his head screwed on properly and a good attitude

Chelsea at home is the sort of fixture where we nearly always bring our A-game. I think we'll be relentless and swarm them, they are a bunch of fannies who don't like it up em and they'll fold. Brighton away on the other hand is a fixture where we usually lay an egg. They've been pretty pish lately and don't have much to play for so I'm feeling a bit better going into it. Arsenal will of course be tough and it'll be a tall order to beat them 4 times this season. A point there would be a bonus. Everton at home on the final day should be a gimme, they're not great and they have fuck all to play for. If you can't beat a lower midtable team who are on the beach at home with CL football on the line then you probably don't belong in the CL.
-
Another player who we've outgrown. He deserves to be starting week in week out somewhere, it won't be nor should it be here. I can imagine him at a Fulham type team. I'll forever be grateful to him for single handedly keeping us up in 2021 despite Capt Steakbakes best efforts.

I agree with the sentiment, we'd be favourites for the ECL, hell, I'd make us favourites for the EL if Spurs, Man Utd & Bodo made the semis and Rangers made the 1/4s it really goes to show the dearth of quality in that tournament. One of the lesser competitions would be a great chance of going on a deep run and winning something. But if we are going the be the club we all want us to be, we need to be a perennial CL team whether we're ready or not. It'll be harder to tempt purples and retain purples by flying to Armenia on Thursdays to play FK Sovietgrad Mentalists. Besides, the new format means no more groups of death, we'll be highly likely to progress to the knockouts then we may fall on our feet and get a Celtic, Brugge, Shaktar level team and go on a bit of a run.

Complete domonation, reminded me of watching a SPFL game where Celtic pass it around a barely semi pro bum team like they're not even there and you question what the two teams are even doing in the same league as each other

Another bad day for "The Undoubled". Got beyt of Oxfed

If I've said it once, I've said it 1000 times. Listing the line up in numerical order is Utter Woke Nonsense.
