  1. Me too, they've been umming and ahhing about him for a while now. They wouldn't even need to match the release clause, they'd just need to match our bid and then if no other offers come in, they'll at least force Frankfurt into considering it. All we've done is submit a one offer below Frankfurts valuation which was of course rejected and then we walked away. It's worth remembering that Liverpool haven't 'power played' us or blown us out the water, as it stands we're the only ones who've put out money where our mouth is to show we're interested in him.
  2. They topped those numbers just for the Sam Fender concerts at SJP
  3. We now go live to James Trafford:
  4. Good, get it up them, the Lionesses are fucking insufferable, mon the Swedes!
  5. Get the thread open! Oh........OK.....
  6. Get the threads going then, for all 3. Make another one for Scalvini.
  7. This. We are just one tile in PIFs mosaic and they've found out the hard way that they can't buy instant success so Yasir and his inner circle probably dont spend too much time worrying or thinking about us. This is where we need a good custodian, someone who has us at the forefront of their mind at every turn and juncture.
  8. Enjoy Spurs/Man Utd/Chelsea/Villa/wherever the fuck you eventually end up Wissa!
  9. What did they say regarding Guehi if you don't mind repeating?
  10. After a brief detour in the Ekitike & Isak threads, it feels nice to be home
  11. Pleased how we've dealt with this, eventhough we didn't land him in the end, there's nothing wrong with shooting our shot. I'm especially pleased to see us tell Liverpool to get themselves to fuck re. Isak.
  12. On Sunday, getting Ekitike was a pipe dream, I always assumed he was going to Liverpool. Realistically, all that's changed is that we chanced our arm on the off chance he fancied coming here. I always assumed the majority of our budget will go on a RCB, GK and CM and the 2nd striker would be someone underwhelming. We thought there may have been a deal to be done so we gave it a shot, if it doesn't materialise, so be it.
  13. Now Romano has posted that, cue that Plattenburg cunt posting something along the lines of " Liverpool open discussions and preparing offer for Ekitike, player is open to joining Liverpool. Isak remains Liverpools priority. "
  14. I hope Romano gets kidney stones the size of golf balls. Insufferable, odious toad that he is.
  15. Yep, I'm getting seriously fucking sick of this guy now. For the sake of my own sanity, if he's not on his way here by the weekend, I'll assume we're missing out on him and I'll find another transfer link to lose my mind to.
  16. When I said a wee bit more I meant throw in a Lindesfarne CD, a novelty book about Geordie Slang, a copy of Grundys Wonders on VHS and an annual pass for Woodhorn Colliery
  17. Which is why I want us to make a 'take it or leave it' offer by the end of the week. We can't afford to get bogged down in another quagmire this summer like we did with Guehi. The release clause fee is fair, offer them that and maybe a wee bit more and if Liverpool beat that then fair play to them, he's all yours. I'm happy knowing that if we have the capacity to drop around 70-80 on one player then we'll be able to address all the other positions of need this summer. Before this story broke, a RCB and another CM were higher on the priority list than back up striker anyway.
  18. Has Laurens spoke at all since he broke this story about 2 days ago? Has he just whipped up a frenzy amongst the transfer journo nonces and disappeared into the night chuckling away to himself. If so, fair play. He's done the transfer gossip equivalent of dropping a box of chips amongst a load of seagulls and watching them squabble amongst each other.
  19. That's the spirit! Now go fuck off, sign Rashford and leave him to us.
  20. If this saga has taught us anything, it's that there is no journalist out there who really knows what's going on. That Florian Plattenburg gimp who works for Sky has tangled himself in knots contradicting himself about this saga. Ornstein & Romano have exposed themselves as shills, doing the dirty work of the cartel clubs, in particular Romano. Companies like BBC & TalkSport will aggregate it all and churn out some absolute nothing burger of an article so they're not seen to be missing out. For all the shit we give Edwards, Hope and Ryder for knowing fuck all (and rightly so!), their track record in this window isn't much worse than the so called reliable sources
  21. Power Play = Enquire about #1 target. Get told to fuck off. Move onto #2 target who just so happens to also be a target for the club of #1 target. Pay over the release clause so that rival club can't have your #2 target as back up to your #1 target. Leave yourself short of funds to acquire #1 target in the short term.
  22. Brace youselves, the press are going to squeeze every last drop out of this Isak to Liverpool non-story for as long as humanly possible, it generates an engagement frenzy for them. The fact of the matter is we have the stronger hand and Liverpool have already badly exposed how weak theirs is. We are under 0 pressure to sell, even if Isak kicks up a fuss we simply can not allow him to go to that hovel of vermin for any figure that wouldn't allow us to bring in purples in every position of need and still have change left over. I'd rather lock him in the haunted chambers of Chillingham castle until his contract expires, never to play for us again than see him line up for those entitled, woe is me, cunt faced cunts
  23. Thiat's why this whole saga doesn't really add up for me. Ekitikes release clause isn't unreasonable. Fuck trying to shave off a million here and there, just pay the money ASAP to get him in before anyone else can get their act together. If Ekitike wants to wait it out and see who else will come in for him, fine, that's his perogative and if that's the case we were never going to get him anyway a la Joao Pedro. But in doing so, we'd be dragging Liverpool into a negotiation they didn't anticipate/want. Either they fold and let us have a free run at Ekitike or they pay the money to cock block us but as a result write off any dying hope they had of tempting Isak. Liverpool don't strike me as the kind of club who will pay in excess of 250m for Isak & Ekitike. Chelsea on the other hand..................
