  1. Not that I was expecting much nor do am I counting on City to collapse, but still, fuck off Everton you soppy shitebags
  2. The Man Utd and Palace results have bought us a free hit. A draw today still keeps the chasing pack, and crucially Villa, at arms length.
  3. It's been said before, I'll say it again. Listing the starting line up in numerical order is utter woke nonsense.
  4. If anyone ever asks you why we call them sad mackem bastards. Send them that.
  5. Shola no doubt has a loan to Partick Thistle lined up for him
  6. A loan to the Bundesliga wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for his development but we're going to need him next season, his time will come. We shouldn't even be entertaining the notion of selling him. Sure, he's far from the finished article but if he's got it in him, Eddie will find it.
  7. When discussing whereabouts in the PL Top 7 we truly belong, the mackems talk with some amount of authority considering that they've only finished in the top 10 of the top flight 3 times in living memory.
  8. True. Maybe our 'blockbuster purple' on the right IS Jacob Murphy!
  9. Last January I would've been quite happy to bomb him out, he looked completely done. Shows what I know. Not only is he still a quality player, the intangibles he brings to the squad with his leadership, experience and calming presence is worth more to us than whatever measly PSR value he could fetch us.
  10. From "AAAAARGH JUST PUT IT IN THE NET!!!!" To "There no way Tuchel can ignore him" The Howe effect. If we had brought in a RW in the summer for around 40mill, Bakayoko for eg, there's absolutely no way they'd be as productive as Murphy is right now. He's raised the standard so high that anyone we bring is gonna have to be a blockbuster purple, and even then, they'll have to earn the spot from him. I fucking love this guy man he has it all, a childhood fan, a redemption arc, a one man meme factory and also rather good at football
  11. It never ceases to amaze me that the fans of a team sitting 4th in the Championship and haven't set foot in the PL since 2017 are constantly lambasting the quality of the PL and talk as if they'd comfortably finish in the top half with their current squad which is littered with 20-40million players. I must've missed the part where the last 6 promoted teams have been immediately papped back down to the Championship without so much as a whimper.
  12. This team is evolving, the ceiling is being raised so high that it's painfully obvious when you see a player who is no longer "Newcastle quality". We're now operating at a level that's beyond Longstaff. I'll always be grateful for his efforts, especially during the dark Bruce days and all the shit he went through because of that slug. He's more than good enough for the majority of PL teams, so I hope he gets a good move but if we are gonna be the team we think we can be, Longstaff isn't good enough to be a part of it
  13. I'll never get bored of seeing us stomp that non-entity husk of a club into the dirt. Get it right up those noncey ultras of theirs too. We're an absolute joy to watch when we're 'on it'. I love the attitude and work ethic of this team, when we don't have the ball our players hunt down the opposition in packs, our midfield 3 are beasts charging around like viking beserkers. Pep can keep his wingers slowly trundling towards the box before passing it backwards, I like to see wingers who are fast as bombing down the flanks. We also have a cheat code up front. One sour note though, if Osula isn't gonna get game time when we're 5-0 up at home, then when will he? I'm seriously getting sick of Wilson now. I don't want it to end like this for him.
  14. For anyone who doesn't want to click on their forum, here's the gist: They think Mike Ashley is a bad owner, but probably more competent than the chancer they have at the moment. Newcastle fans were the main problem during MA's reign cause we wanted our club to achieve it's maximum potential and not fade into obscurity and become another middling championship team who used be famous but now have no realistic chance of ever being a 'somebody' again...........Sheffield Wednesday for example!
  15. O'9 marra?! 'ees a prpa ledge marra, remember that time he snapped Lewis Mai Lie!
  16. Never underestimate Chelsea's ability to worm their way out of a financial hole. They'll organise a pre-season tournament against the LA Dodgers catering staff, Strasbourg U-14 girls and Todd Boehley accountants, the winner of the tournament gets a $300 million cash injection. On the pitch however, they look the most likely to drop off, I'm not particularly concerned about them, their one star player is off form, their squad has no cohesion and the fans are on the managers back again. Forest are starting to burn out Villa & City will probably be fine but we don't need to worry about them too much, I think we'll pretty much match them stride in the run in. Basically, we'll be reet
  17. OK, maybe that sounded a bit harsh, but you get the point.
  18. Typical. This is the one period of his career I wouldn't have minded him being out injured so Osula would get more of a chance and Wilsons reputation would remain intact, I can't remember seeing such a tragically 'past it' player as him in recent weeks.
  19. I think City and Villa will get over the line, they have kind fixtures and good squad depth, it's Forest and Chelsea I'm keeping my eyes on. Win on Wednesday and we've got one foot in the CL
