Could still do a job for us at CB

By God, it's just dawned on me! Perhaps Craig Hope isn't the doom mongering ghoul I always accused him of being, prehaps he doesn't take joy in spreading misery and raining on our parades. There is the possibility that his reporting is accurate and it just so happens that all Newcastle related news is depressing as fuck. Ah christ, kill me now man

Shadow Puppets, I need you and your ITK sources more than ever. Please tell me everything is gonna be OK.

After we won the cup, I said that I can now die happy and vowed to never complain about football again. I was wrong. This is shit.

It would be peak Newcastle to finally get someone from our 2022 shopping list only for him to be banned for life before he's even made his debut.

Chelsea gazumped us for Delap and Pedro City gazumped us for Trafford Man Utd gazumped us for Mbuemo Liverpool gazumped for Ekitike and have spent the summer trying to prise away Isak Spurs will likely gazump us for Wissa So let's lowball West Ham and let Arsenal swoop in so we can complete our 'Gazumped by the Cartel ™️' bingo card!

Bring him home.

Great post, I get the point you're trying to make, it resonates with every football fan who loves their club. But I think you're underestimating the appeal of doubling your money and moving to a club way above us in the food chain who are in the hunt for the PL & CL every year. He might feel like he's 'completed Newcastle'. He scored what turned out to be the winning goal which finnaly brought us silverware and was instrumental in getting us over the line for the CL. But no getting away from it, the optics are terrible and the media frenzy this has instigated has soured any sentiment I once had for him. I don't care if he's world class or not, he can't play for us again.

Fair enough, I take the point but I'm weary that prevaricating over a few million in June/July and not getting players in early leaves us vulnerable to getting ripped off when we start getting desperate by the time deadline day approaches. Either that or we leave poisitions unaddressed and try again in future windows by the point targets have moved on and/or inflation puts players beyond our reach

It's farcical how on the one hand we're steadfast in our stance that Isak is not for sale for anything less that record shattering money way above what Liverpool can afford, meanwhile we're umming and ahhing about upping our offer for Wissa by relative pocket change.

This summer has been eye opening as to just how shambolic we are being run behind the scenes, it like someone shone a torch into dark room and we saw 100's of cockroaches scurrying on the floor. With all that said, I had never been more grateful to have had this absolute colossus of a man leading us. I absolutley love him.

"Oooh, the SJP thread has been bumped, I wonder if there's any updates, that'll take the sting out of all the bad news this week" See Sean Casey tweets. Fill up bath. Plug in toaster.

Excited to see how this guy ends up fucking us over before we put him on gardening leave

Anyone else wish these cartel bums would finally form their super league and fuck off for good?
-
Just fold the club at this point

I wonder how many names remain on our transfer wish list from 2022. Is Bas Dost still on there somwhere?

As many have already said so well, I'm not feeling down about this because we're set to lose the best player we've had in generations, it's more the fact that we could and we would be willing to pay him a salary that he'd be able to get elsewhere along with giving everyone else in the squad a payrise as and when they wanted it but are prevented from doing so as the cartel pulled up the drawbridge as soon as they sensed that we were a threat. Of course, Isak may have wanted to leave anyway and that's fine, it's his career, he owes us nothing. This summer and this saga has also shone a light on the borderline negligence at the top of the club. Whoever is in charge has made a pigs ear of one of the most crucial windows in modern times and has allowed us to be made a complete fool of in the media. It gives me the feeling that as soon as PIF realised it would take time and strategic planning to get us to the top instead of just piling obscene money into the team from day one, they lost the appetite and dropped us to focus on their vapid farce of a league. Whatever the case it all circles back to the cartel. I fucking hate those cunts collectively more than Sunderland. At least the mackems are just bunch of dafties down the road and are not a destructive force in football who not so long ago wanted to join a breakaway league
