Its seemed obvious for more than a season now that intensity is our identity is not something a team can or should do all the time. We needed to get better technically, instead we bought overpriced physical players. We haven't brought in undervalued prospects with a view to challenging and technically improving the midfield for when one or more of the big 3 leave. No prospects to take a position on the wing when the right in particular is weak. How much of this is down to Ashworth being brought in to streamline U-21s,U-18s, scouting, recruitment, coaching recruitment, i don't know. I only know Howe has not been able to fix problems that have been present for a long time. We always lose the heads when pressed and cannot just make space. Our players are static, we create no confusion through movement. The link-up in midfield is dire, partly because the players just don't have the technique to play short passes at high speed while running. The lads can really only control the ball when standing still. Does anyone believe Howe is looking at this as a priority next year? I can't see it, was hoping for evolution the last couple of years, we've gone backwards.

I mean in game, obviously he doesn't have the same approach every game. What I'm saying is, the timing of the goals we concede show that when teams figure us out which is often, they score against us more than anyone else. And we don't score anten like we concede in this crucial periods. As for the subs on 60 minutes, I dont care when he makes them, but when the other team has had the momentum for 10 minutes and is really looking like scoring, making subs after the inevitably score is infuriating. Why not try and changed the momentum before it happens.

I'd feel so much better about things if in the last 5 years our off field accomplishments came close to our on field accomplishments. Everyone knew about PSR, so we needed to immediately get the best youth coaches, bring in top tier first team coaches, scouts. Instead we lose the rat, we were always going to lose some top players on the journey, and we try to compete with Chelsea and the bin dippers for players. We needed to be way more cute in what we did. The willingness to spend 65 million on Guehi says it all. Wolves have a pipeline to Portugal, Brentford are signing great players, Brighton, Forest, The signings they've made for 25mil and under would walk into our 11 for the most part, at the very ;east give us strong bench options. We have the worst record for conceding goals 15 mins prior and 15 after the break. Teams are figuring us out. We need to change it up the minute they figure us out, but we never hav a plan b.

Why not throw on the 2 strikers, and why is Murphy gone on, take Barnes or Gordon off. Had to make halftime changes our record the 30 mins before and after halftime is shocking

It’s a guess based on the fact Isak wasn’t extension talks long before it became an issue. Its documented that we refused to offer terms when he’d been told an offer would be made. Mitchell had come an decided that wasn’t happening until it was good for Mitchell. Add to that we haven’t extended key pieces, some of whom have played to a level where they should be payed more. If we got good offers for both I’d hope we had younger players with higher ceilings, a replacement for Joe who wasn’t far off and an attack minded midfielder with better technique and composure, someone who could be top class in time. I’d like to see us go 4-5-1 Wolt as striker, Wissa as RW when defending, our most advanced mid/winger takes his pressing duties he drops back out of possession and man marks someone…maybe Chelsea isn’t the game to try this out, but we should try it sometime. Hafta score every counter attack and defend immaculately. Think 2nd match away suits us, because we'll hafta score their anyway with a lead if we're to get thru. They definitely aren't unbeatable, If this was our team of last year Id be more confident,,although we've never been efficient on the counter. Just seen the bin dippers are interested (not important if true) in Yan Diomande. Red Bull Leipzig signed off Leganes a year ago, now hes rated at 50-100 mil. Just another example of it being far more important to match top European scouting before we can compete. That time we had 65 mil for Guehi, had we prepared, could have signed an immediate purple at centre back and 2 prospects with the rest.

Hes a lot more than neat and tidy ehen he has teammates converging on goal. He looks best when we play quick passing, thats where he sees and creates what no one else thinks of. He just needs to use it himself more. Every forward player, near every player has had 6 months of Howe training to learn the system. Right now the team doesn’t look like they know it. Wolt has shown enough to know hes a player an will come great if we can balance the side.

I wish we could get some answers on the Anderson deal. Whoever let that happen folded so badly it’s embarrassing. Essentially we got 15 mil for a homegrown very highly rated (just under probably) top tier young talent. And no clauses. Thats the behaviour of a club with no options, thats facing administration, not a club with the weight of a nation’s oil money behind it. It seems like the owners away and execs are just backstabbing trying to get power and there’s no hierarchy, structure or plan. Think the board need to be flown out to the kingdom , shown what the stadiums are used for on non match days and told to get to work.
