  1. KI having a very public meltdown on Google Maps checking out postcodes to see who is allowed to have an opinion.
  2. This is a valid concern though. Would be a huge test of the ownership and football structure to get the right person through the door.
  3. Those with their blinkers on now suggesting Howe just needs a summer rebuild of the team he fucking spent £800m to build, as they can no longer suggest he just needs time on the training ground… Think I’ll pass on him spending £100m on Curtis Jones and Conor Gallagher thanks. And the suggestion this is like two seasons ago is nonsense. We finished 7th and were incredibly unlucky to miss out on Europe due to Man Utd spawning an FA Cup.
  4. “We’re really struggling for a positive atmosphere around the club and it’s really impacting results. We really need a pick me up” ”Shall we sign on that guy who falls out with the Board, players and fans at every club” ”Nah” ”What about if I told you he downplays sexual and psychological abuse and actively cheered on a shamed abuser?” ”Now you’re talking”
  5. So Hall starts neither game to let O’Reilly and Djed fucking Spence start ahead of him And someone was trying to tell me on here the other week the Sly 6 players are in no way favoured. Will be a complete shitshow if Hall isn’t starting at the WC.
  6. Only way to grow is consistent European football. Those suggesting finishing outside of the European places being anything other than a disaster can look at these books and see the impact. CL is obviously the priority but unrealistic year on year. EL or Conference League will provide increases across matchday income, prize money, TV, commercial income and more. Can justify higher commercial income but also attract it too when they know you’ve been on the European stage every season for the last 5 years. Every year we fall outside of Europe we take several steps back in a race where the competition have 3 legs and we have 1. The only ‘golden nugget’ is a new stadium with significant sponsorship and hospitality, but that is sadly years away. Glad we’re taking the dirty steps others have done before us, but they are much more limited to us and will eventually run out.
  7. Not a chance this flimsy Spurs side beat the mackems Xhaka will probably get a hattrick. And Wolves who are 7th in the form table? Beating Villa and Liverpool in 2 of their last 3… as well as draws with Brentford and Arsenal… Not sure West Ham will need that 10 points.
  8. Hughton? Who hasn’t managed a serious role for 5 years? Only hope they have is convincing someone like De Zerbi to come in now and stay with them even if they go down. That seems very unlikely based on the fact they’re scrambling around looking at anyone unemployed.
  9. They were equally as bad without injuries. The form table has them in the bottom three over the last 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 games. They’re actually bottom of the league over the last 5, 10 and 15 games, worse than Burnley and Wolves. Any chance to turn it around disappeared when they bought Tudor in. You cannot expect someone to come in and change the entire ethos of the club around in a week. If they end up appointing someone like Davies or some other fool with no experience whatsoever, they may as well start getting the maps out to Lincoln. Players like Maddison coming back in, with his sensational track record in these situations, isn’t going to change a thing.
  10. Played up top the following game against Man Utd but then was rotated in and out for Wissa before being slung in midfield. Always thought you get nowhere from rotating strikers, a bit like keepers, it’s a position where they really need confidence. We’d absolutely have to build our team around him to see the best of him. It’ll never happen though with Howe.
  11. Tonali was a top player last season. Either side of that he’s been very inconsistent.
  12. Difference between Tonali and Bruno is that Bruno would have played on Sunday. Whether that is a criticism of Tonali or Bruno just being a mad bastard is the area for debate.
  13. Like watching your total slag of an ex cheat on her new fella. Although I probably won’t tug over this one.
  14. Feel a bit like I did with Isak this time last season, if he gave us one more season and didn’t act like a complete wanker when leaving, I’d probably wish him well and remember him fondly. In the grand scheme of things, he will always move on and one more season won’t make much difference to him but will make the world of difference to us. I think Tonali is more likely to stay on for another season if Howe does.
  15. Used to argue who is the biggest superfan depending on how loud you boo’d at games. Now we're arguing who is the biggest superfan depending on whether you mildly applauded or not. Some would say that is pretty good progress.
  16. The only surprise is he’s leaving for free and not disappearing off to the Middle East on a £39272bn deal to allow Liverpool to buy two new squads.
  17. Genuinely reckon my life would be loads better if this was socially acceptable.
  18. “Lets get rid of this massive radgepacket and bring in an even bigger radgepacket who is known for falling out with Boards every where he goes” That’ll motivate them.
  19. We put in more tackles and fouls at home to Qarabag than we did the mackems. Make that make sense.
  20. Joelinton the only Newcastle player to get booked for losing his head after the scored the winner. NUFC - 8 fouls mackems - 19 fouls NUFC - 69% of tackles won mackems - 82% of tackles won (and more attempted)
  21. Find it mad that people are suggesting there was no evidence of a lack of effort. Watch Willock on the 2nd goal and compare to say Joelinton who at one stage ran the length of the pitch to put a tackle in. Barnes and Gordon on several occasions shirked a 50/50 challenge and lost the ball. Mackems won that game by bringing down the quality deficit by wanting it more. They were in every tackle, winning 50/50s and battling for everything. We tried to outclass them, many have failed to do that against weaker teams, hence the “Stoke away” narrative. It was a poor game plan, poor team selection and some players (not all) had a poor level of effort. ”Don’t boo after losing back to back Derby matches because it will put off world class managers from joining us”. Fuck off.
  22. Yes, I’m passing judgement on our achievements so far and taking a view on what the likelihood is of that changing between now and May. I will also then reflect on our whole season in May and determine whether we have performed well or not. Phew. A lot to take in. For all we know, in your hypothetical situation, it could be that Howe has purposely held Wissa back until we exit Europe to go mental in the last 7 games and charge us towards Europe again. Or, we could have loads of gas left in the tank as we’ve been reserving ourselves in games, leading to these poor results. We’ll only know at the end of the season, hence why it’s a good opportunity to then take stock and assess our overall performance. Do I consider any of that to be likely? No. Hence why I have my current opinion. Could that change over the next 7 games? Yes. It’s known as being open to changing your opinion based on the information in front of you. Radical.
  23. Their accents should be considered the worst, although that can form part of the general dislike for Birmingham.
  24. Sorry, it’s my misunderstanding for thinking that the usual approach is to fully judge a season at its conclusion based on our achievements. Finishing 5th could be considered managing the season much better than finishing 12th. It’s a pretty unique way of looking at it, I know.
