The College Dropout
Just waiting for McMilkman to come out and blame the pitch for losing. The pitch had f*** all to do with any of the goals. Robinson was badly at fault for their second. It either gets caught and gathered or pushed round the post - NOT palmed out to the onrushing striker to prod in. Rank keeping. goalfest on monday Probably plays a blinder. The defenders where slow to react but still a mistake from the Fatman. You can blame a few people for the goal, but the truth is we were defending desperately for 40 minutes. True. Terrible performance all round. You know your in trouble when you have Rooney defending from the edge of the penalty box within 10 minutes of the second half.
Guest Sam
Really dont know how Mclaren can still justify picking Robinson, even against Estonia he was making mistakes. Havent seen him play well in ages.

The first part of any good defensive performance is ALWAYS to hold the ball and force the initiative in forward positions.

tmonkey
Gutted about England summer is going to be boring without them in the Euro's Same. Even considering the hype, which gets utterly ridiculous, its still far more entertaining than having a tournament that the nation as a whole has little interest in (eg Olympics). As Dave said, there must be a playoff route into the finals for teams that finish third.
Spider Jerusalem
Got in from work and couldn't believe the score knowing it was one nil at half time. Then I read how they scored and it all made perfect sense - dubious decision against England and another in the great series of howlers from Robinson. Stupid fat c*nt is now responsible for losing at least five points in the qualifiers but will probably have an inspired game on Monday. This was just like the goal he conceded against the Germans (I think) when he did everything wrong and palmed the ball down from a cross and into the path of an unmarked striker. To be honest though the dubious penalty - saw it in the Sky highlights - didn't come as much of a surprise because as long as I can remember watching England (since Mexico 86) the marginal descisions in key games seem to have an unusual balance to have gone against us. To get one or two going against you can be put down to human error but to get as many as we have though could be taken to shows that somebody somewhere doesn't like us. Anyway, it just cuts out the middleman of getting knocked out in a more creative manner next year.

Had some good chances though but general play was atrocious.

Especially since it will be full of penny pinching Scots. They won't know what to do next year as they won't be able to support whoever England are playing - they'll be spinning round in a whirl of confusion - a bit like a vertical version of if you drop a cat off a building with buttered toast strapped to its stomach and back - and probably won't realise they have qualified. But still, if they qualify I would like to wish them all the best - not going to watch the bastards though.
midds
The manager's got to carry the can ultimately but he's been badly let down by certain individuals.... Having said all that, if you can only take 1 point from Macedonia (H), Croatia (A) and Russia (A) you don't deserve to qualify imo.

Guest Guinness
Going to be a boring summer with no England in the Euro's, really can't believe what's happened in this group. McClaren is a fucking awful manager, he really shouldn't have been in contention for the job in the first place. Robinson once again managed to fuck up for the second goal, seriously what does he have to do to lose his place?
