Habib Beye signs for Aston Villa, fee undisclosed

From that lot, there's only Enrique I'd like to keep. Colo sort of, until we get a new CB, mainly because we're down to him and Taylor as senior centre backs.

Completely agree. Couldn't give a flying fuck about the rest of them.

Said he loves us and may end up witht he Toon hating c*** Brown, Hull go down I will laugh my tits off.

Keep Enriqye like... but bye bye Butt hello Vuckic.

Loves us so much that it would have taken a new contract (even though he still had a year on his current deal) for him to stay.

Although he deserves better than Hull, Whitley Beye will remain one of my fave ever toon players, hes a legend in my book. We were too f***ing useless to keep a hold of him and I wish the guy all the best.

A classic case of an overuse of the word imo. Not denying I love him as a player, and that he's excellent. But he is not a legend.

Shearer: Legend

Beye: Very good player that we all liked quite a bit.

Really hope Enrique stays. From all the pre-season match reports he always seems to stand up.

Aye but standing up is Colo's main issue he cannot fkn go to ground and make a tackle :D

Eh? Colo's?

Is it just me but, I've never held such distaste for a squad of Newcastle players before.

for the last 5 or 6 years i've only felt a connection to the name "newcastle united", SJP and the strip. the players, management and board (both) have for the vast majority of it left me cold.

Newcastle accept Hull's Beye bid

Hull chairman Paul Duffen has confirmed a fee has been agreed with Newcastle United for defender Habib Beye.

The 31-year-old Senegal international is expected to meet Hull officials this week to discuss terms and conditions.

"Habib Beye is a player we believe can add quality to our squad. We are hoping to engage in conversation with him in the next couple of days," Duffen said.

Beye spent four years with Marseille before joining Newcastle in 2007. He has 35 caps for his country.

Beye was the third capture on a busy day for the Tigers, Seyi Olofinjana, 29, joining from Stoke City for £3m and American striker Jozy Altidore, 19, on a season-long loan from Villareal.

Nobby and Robert. The two last players I watched and felt genuine affection for, when they kissed the badge you felt they meant it.

I will happily be called naive when it comes to this, and possibly gay. But when he played he played with a look like he cared and enjoyed it, and when he'd score, I dunno just getting sentimental I guess.

Strange last paragraph, they haven't even opened discussions with the player yet.

100% in agreement. We couldn't afford to give him an extended contract so he's gone elsewhere and good luck to him. I'll say the same to any other useless cunt like Smith or Butt if they can get a decent offer which I highly doubt.
