It was bizarre. He was playing in exactly the right positions to make nothing happen. If he'd played up front, all right, or on the wing, but he just floated about.

 

Think he was told to play on the right side as part of the 4-5-1 (defence) 4-3-3 (attack) formation that gets used. Geremi was tucking inside with Butt and Barton. He obviously wants to be up front with Viduka/Smith, not stuck on the wing (where he stayed for the second half)

He didnt play great but didnt do anything to really warrant being called poor. I dont have any doubts about him clearing his lines when he should like Titus.

Please. He's too casual, he can't head a ball, he gets caught out of position, he's weak, he doesn't attack the ball, he plays passes that put us in trouble. Mostly, though, he just needs to start playing it safe.
