BlueStar
I always thought a six suggested 'above average'. Maybe it's like video game scores where 70% means utter shit.
toontownman
CREATIVITY! How long does it take to realise our midfield just doesnt work. Smith was vacant again today and Butt is a DM. We are going to miss Faye hugely.
Luc
How long do we have to struggle like this?
Golfmag
Not perfect but I've seen a lot worse from us in the FA Cup over the years. And to put this in context, we were MILES better than Liverpool today, playing against a much better side (in theory) than they were.

Thespence
Roz is the Czech Ramage but not as strong. Smith why we are we playing him in midfield (or at all) is beyond me. Allardyce pal Fergie gave up playing him as a DM & went out spunked a load of cash on Wallsender Carrick. IT PISSES ME OFF EVERYTIME I SEE CARRICK PASSING IT TO HIS TEAMATES & WE HAVE TO PUT WITH OUR GLUM FUCKS IN MIDFIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It reminded me of Ruud's Newcastle today with people scared to shoot & instead passing it around the box. At least Butt was willing but if we are relying on him pinging them in from outside the box, I suggest people in the Gallowgate & Leazes section better get used to seeing more of the ball than they expected. LoveItIfWeBeatU
You know somethings very wrong when our defensive midfielder Nicky Butt had more shots than anyone else. If we get any of the top 4 in the cup draw we may as well cut out the middle man and let Stoke through to have a crack at them.
TaylorJ_01
Completely agree with everyone saying our midfield needs sorting out. I think a two stronger CMs would do a wonder for this team. Someone who can score off set plays and put in decent corners would be nice, as well. Zogs' corners were terrible, imo. All and all a shameful performance today. One side looked like it was in the Premiership and one looked like it was in the Championship. You would think that we were the minnows hanging on to a replay. All of N'zogbia's deliveries were pretty perfect if you ask me. For example the one where Taylor hit the post (not just with the ball) was pin point. No-one to attack it, that's the problem. Dave
Strange to see us taking a few outswinging corners in this game btw.

If we get any of the top 4 in the cup draw we may as well cut out the middle man and let Stoke through to have a crack at them. The type of shot that is normally called a conversion or field goal. As one of our more esteemed colleagues on this board would say, if we draw a decent team in the competition (if we don't get a 5-2 defeat in the replay) we will probably get 'bummed in the face'. Good to see that Sam thought that we controlled the game though - from my vantage point it looked as though we were barely capable of controlling the ball. Agree, N'Zgobia + Duff put some great crosses into the box - where were the forwards?
S.S.R.
Most of the team played well, but were undermined by three terrible performances from Butt, Rose'n'crown and Smith. Maybe Viduka and Owen could have caused a Championship defence more problems, but considering the two in the middle spent the whole game passing to the other side, would it be fair to criticise them? Why didn't Allardyce bring on Cacapa and move Taylor to right back?
tmonkey
Can I just add that I would absolutely love us to have a forward like that Pickering fella who came on for Stoke. Fat/overweight, not shaved for months culminating in a biker's beard, chewing gum and looking like he could give a s*** and that this was just another jogging session, and could barely run after 5 minutes despite having come on towards the end of the game when nearly everyone else had played for 85. It would be an understatement to say he looks like your typical pub team footballer. If we're going to have players who get games irrespective of how good or bad they are, we should at least have one or two that look as cool as him. Keefaz
Cacapa's the coolest. There was one shot of the bench and he looked like he just wandered in from a porn film.

Viduka and Owen where also poor. And cacapa would've got raped. Damage limitation with Roz at right back..

I agree, but im thinking more of an equivalent to Kay in that john smiths advert. It would just be a laugh to have someone like Boris Johnson coming off the bench. Baggio
More long ball rubbish, the second half was shocking. The only highlights were Lua Lua's appearance and the fat Stoke fan with his shirt off who kept jiggling his tit's at us. Faye MOTM, an absolute beast yet again. S.S.R.
Pattison looked lost and confused. Surprised Martins didn't pick him up and take him off the pitch like he did with that injured bird.
