LooneyToonArmy
Spurs boss shrugs off Newcastle hammering Tottenham head coach Juande Ramos says his sides defeat at the hands of Newcastle is not important. The Spaniard - who has already secured European qualification by wining the Carling Cup - says he is now assessing the attitude of his players, with little to play for in the league. "We're at a phase of the season that is not quite so important, so it's a chance to look at players and see the squad and make decisions for next season," he said. Mowen
Those marks are all laughable, but 4 for Carroll (who did the few things he did pretty well) and 3 for Edgar is ludicrous.

Fugazi
Those marks are all laughable, but 4 for Carroll (who did the few things he did pretty well) and 3 for Edgar is ludicrous. It's harsh how if a player comes on for a couple of minutes he gets no higher than a 4, which would suggest he was absolute garbage. The Sun does that for all matches. Happy Face
Papers just telling it like it is all along shocker. Not quite true. A lot of the opinion pieces have been utter shite. But I couldn't really argue with any of the match reports that said we were shit the last few months. Of course Martin Samuel, Jimmy Greavous and the rumour mongering twats will be in no way compelled to chow down on humble pie.

afar
Where do they get these morons? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7309369.stm Unsurprisingly the game was open from the start, but when the first chance came, on only five minutes, it was not to one of the plethora of forwards on show, but to midfielder Beye. Erm... Spurs were now in the ascendancy, with Robbie Keane, Dimitar Berbatov and Bent causing Newcastle plenty of problems. Eh? No they weren't. It took midfielder Butt to drag his side back into the match, when he swung his boot optimistically at the ball and his shot surprised everyone by finding the bottom left corner of the goal. Oh, it wasn't a precise finish then? Dragged us into the match? f*** off. On the balance of play, Newcastle would have been very happy to have gone into half-time on level terms. No idea what to say to this. It's simply a lie. Then on 52 minutes, Newcastle stunned their hosts when they took the lead through a Geremi free-kick that left keeper Paul Robinson rooted to the spot. Stunned? Not really, we battered them second half. We got the whole game on tape delay here in Canada, they had some stats up at half time and in the first half (as well as the end of course) we had more shots, more possession and more territorial advantage than Spurs, so it hardly a surprise when we scored. The 2nd half was one way traffic, it really could have been a lot more.
afar
From the indy report "Habib Beye, seizing on an error by Jonathan Woodgate – who played as if the mere sight of a black-and-white shirt awoke nightmare memories of his own time in Newcastle's notoriously porous back four" Although the general report is positive, it's the baseless, un researched, pradicatable crap like this that gets my back up. Woody's himself would say that his time with us was far from a nightmare.
afar
Papers just telling it like it is all along shocker. Not quite true. A lot of the opinion pieces have been utter s****. But I couldn't really argue with any of the match reports that said we were s*** the last few months. Of course Martin Samuel, Jimmy Greavous and the rumour mongering twats will be in no way compelled to chow down on humble pie. I remember in the season we went up, Ian St John and Jimmy Greaves were still doing that Saturday morning preview show. They had just showed highlights of us beating yet another team and extending our lead at the top further. Ian St John ask Greaves about it and all he said was "Well the best team in that league is the 'appy hammers". That comment has stuck with me for a long while we won that championship at a canter and when given the opportunity to praise a truely worthy achievement, a cockney biased wanker like Greaves chooses instead to promote a lesser team from his neck of the woods.
