Guest float one in
Geremi has to play in this game. He's no world beater but he contributes 10 times as much as Butt, Barton and Smith. Wouldn't mind seeing him starting at all. All we keep hearing is that we're short of confidence, well Geremi should be full of it after getting to the final of the Africa Nations. He's won more matches since Christmas than any of our lads. In the long run he's not good enough to be an NUFC player, but neither are a good few others in our squad. As a temprary fix, I just think he might give us some much needed belief in the middle of the park.

Guest float one in
What I'm worried about is if we're 0-0 after 60 mins, or even 1-0 down, you just know a lot of the idiots amongst our 'support' will start huffing and puffing and complaining at every miss-placed pass or wrong decision. Even in the situation we are in, a large number of people will still insist on transferring negativity from the stands to the pitch. These people just don't get what its all about. Fair enough it's a two way process, and its the players job to give us something to shout about as well, but Saturday's match is an occasion when we should be encouraging them no matter what, no matter how terrible we are or how many times Barton kicks the ball straight out of play. From now til the end of the season its not about entertainment or "attractive football" or getting your money's worth for your season ticket, its about making sure we survive. We cannot go down - the battle starts tomorrow. Blackburn are better than us but they are beatable. Everyone of us who goes tomorrow has a job to do. All it takes is a few moaners in each section to set the nerves gannin and that never helps anyone, especially if its a tight match (which is realistically the best we can hope for!!!). Howay the lads!
Keefaz
FWIW, I thought we played very well for 20 mins against Man Utd. If we can keep that standard up for 90 minutes, we'll beat Blackburn easily. However, if we concede we need to pick ourselves up like we did so many times under SBR and say, 'Fuck it. We'll just score two.'
fredbob
I think the DM position is gonna be the key decision tommorow, does Faye play there providing decent defensive cover for the likes of Emre to support the attack, i think Emre is exactly the tye of player we need, someone who can help make things happen and keep possession in the final third, which we've been dearly missing. However this leaves us short in CD, and with the likes of Cruz and Mcarthy im not sure id want a weak defense. Both physical and both extremely intelligent, so the likes of Taylor will suffer in my opinon as would Cacapa. Kind of means we have to play Faye in defence. Butt and Barton will therefore play because they will provide a "decent" blend of Attack and defence which is bull, Zog will be on the left, ?Milner on the right with Owenand Smith up front with Martins coming on for Smith later in the match. Thats my prediciton.
