Liam Liam Liam O
Does Pearce coach it in to the U21s to beat their man a minimum of three times? Walcott should have scored himself there. lol. Is it me. or does Abonglahor's "skills" look very obvious and poorly executed? Well they work... but something about the way he runs with the ball looks clumsy. He hasn't scored in ages. His main contribution - decent one though it is - for most matches is to cause a nuisance by running at people. Would you swap him for Milner? No. Off on a tangent, MON would probably adopt Gabby if he could, he loves him so much. He tracks back and chases down hopeless balls, every time he does it, you see him bouncing around on the touchline like he's just spunking his pants, he loves that kind of thing. We were excellent today, by the way. Worth a try
The College Dropout
Is it me... or is Jermaine Jenas looking much more "brolic" these days? http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=brolic (how cool am i?) Performance enhancers me thinks.
PM
"Noone is under more pressure today in the Premier League than Avram Grant." Apart from Keegan, Coppell et al caught up in the furious relegation battle...

The College Dropout
Quality finish from Ballack Been impressive recently. I was really surprised when Mikel was picked ahead of him for the Carling Cup final. Ref makes a terrible decision. Boa Morte tries to kick him, Lampard pushes him yet Lampard gets sent off. The College Dropout
Horrid challenge by Makelele. He gets away with being such a dirty player because of his dimunitive height. I reckon Mikel tries to imitate him but because he's so big he can't do it.
Gash
What pricks some of the villa fans were today; apparently chanting "Eduardo woah Eduardo woah He had some silky skills But now hes like heather mills" Booo If thats true its well out of order Not true, according to my friend who was there. Anyway, that song is going to get heard this season, you can bet your money on it. That is football for you. There was definately a chant of some sort about Eduardo that Arsene Wenger refered to post match as stupid "You expect better from people who come to football stadiums. It looks that intelligence and stupidity can have no limits. Unfortunately stupidity has won."
PM
Unusual for an assistant ref to get involved...and when he does, he invents something.
Karjala
How the hell was that a red for Lampard? Boa Morte kicked at him and Lampard barely even breathed on him. Makelele should have gone however.

There was definately a chant of some sort about Eduardo that Arsene Wenger refered to post match as stupid "You expect better from people who come to football stadiums. It looks that intelligence and stupidity can have no limits. Unfortunately stupidity has won." This is football, supid things get chanted, that would have got chanted no matter who played there today. It was a horrible injury, nobody would wish it on anybody, it was an injury committed by a player of our closest rivals, it was hideous, but nobody died, there's been a national period of mourning of seven days now. The sanctimony from Wenger is a bit galling, really, given the proclivity of some of his players to tackle like that, as well as the liking of Arsenal fans to chant anti semitic stuff at Spurs. Incidentally, Spurs fans today were chanting "Stand up cos Eduardo can't". I'd expect to hear that one on a regular basis too. I'm not saying it is OK, I am saying that if that is considered a hideous event by the modern football supporter, then things really have changed. It is nothing, a bit of chanting. Wullie
At least Boro are only a point above us. 5 of their next 6 are Villa, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and Spurs too. Pity the other one is Derby like.
