Syrette
the whole of the starting 11 have been excellent so far. our midfielders in barton, butt and geremi have been the pick of the bunch for me. should be at least 3-0 up. at least. They were decent up till about 10 minutes ago. Just get to half-time in front. Please.

gray
we're looking fine touch wood, like i said we are letting them have the ball in their own half then pressing in ours and hitting them on the counter
Syrette
Half time. Comfortably our half by the look/sound of it; we should be at least 2-0 up. We'll be made to pay for wasting our chances. I just know it.
Mike
We're playing really well, should have had 3 or 4, but can't have any real complaints. I'd love to sneak N'zogbia out there somewhere. Can't even say anything negative about Barton, either.
Astroblack
Why dont we pressure? The one time we did, it was a good move. Martins owen and Viduka just stand there. One more please, we saw what Fulham did last season when we were one up.

Mike
Thank F**k for the whistle. Owen could do with a little pep-talk Thought Owen played well. Scuffed the header, but his passing and involvement has been good.
Pilko
Even Barton playing well by the sounds of it.
WhatTheFunk
Is Faye playing for two again? Faye has been a beast, but Taylor's done his job when asked questions. It just so happens that most of the play is coming through Faye's position, and he's been able to deal with everything very well except for giving away that freekick which Bullard smacked straight into the wall. Guest elpapi
There is the whistle. How long can they hold out before they begin to boo Keegan? Will they ever boo Keegan? Into injury-time and the home fans are restless for their pies. And also to be spared any more of this poor performance. eurosport WTF?

James
Players in order of best to worst first half: Geremi Butt Viduka Faye Beye Enrique Owen Barton Taylor Harper Martins Usually I'd only be happy with the first few people on that list, but I'm happy with all the players so far. Ridman
"1553: Sunderland players are unhappy with referee Howard Webb as they go off for the interval. They feel they should have had a penalty on the stroke of half-time when Andy Reid's shot hit Nigel Reo-Coker's arm. It did strike his arm and they've been given before - this one wasn't."
