I hate the current top, I wish Canterbury, those people who make the rugby shirts and Pompeys would make ours.

A nice sleek slim fitting style like the rugby shirts they do would look class especially on those of us who are quite 'toned'.  :pow:

I apreciate the big fat lads wouldnt much like it though.

no next year, unless northern rock deal collapses.

I remember reading something about The Owner of Virgin (forgot what his name was) was interested in buying Northern Rock.

Can't recall if it was a rumor or actually true.

Any updates on that?

The Rock has been nationalised.  Happened weeks ago.

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_rock

Takeover offers

On 12 October 2007, Virgin Group, announced that they intended to bid for Northern Rock as the lead of a coalition including American giant AIG, turnaround specialist WL Ross and First Eastern Investment. Had the deal been successful, Northern Rock would have been integrated into Virgin Money,[67] as Virgin Bank.[68] It is unclear what role partners will have in the deal. This bid was later approved by the UK Treasury and has been noted as the preferred option.[69] Virgin announced that Peter McNamara, a former Alliance & Leicester managing director, would be responsible for risk management at Northern Rock if its bid succeeds.[70]

I like our home one... from the front. The back's fucking rubbish. If the back were the same as the front; ie, doesn't look like a bib and the stripes were to continue - then it'd be the best we've had in the Premiership imo. Love having lots of black on our kits.

And the other kits... hmm, i wish they'd stop bringing out third kits because they mean fucking bugger all and we never wear them (or should never have to, away to Arsenal ffs?). Aye, they often look nice, and i'm often stupid enough to buy them, but it's quite obviously commercial/exploitation.

Away kits, change them every year aye but they should always be blue, or blue should be the prominent colour. IMO. :D

The best away shirt we've had was the all black one.

Am I getting wooshed here? Whats the point in an away kit that clashes with the home kit?!

I like the yellow ones best. Incidentally, this current home shirt is horrible. First one i've not bought in about 15 years.

I've really gone off the current home shirt, why cant we just have blackn white stripes!

Away kit, yellow and green or yellow and blue.

Third kit, make it a retro silver n black combo.

but it's quite obviously commercial/exploitation.

Away kits have been primarily driven by commercial exploitation rather than on-field footballing reasons for nearly 20 years now, and third kits exclusively so.

Way back in the 70's and early 80's you'd rarely see a team in their away kit unless there was a clash with their opponents home kit, but then they figured out that away kits were a potentially source of lucrative revenue and now teams regularly turn out in away kits even if there's no clash at all.

As for third kits, there's absolutely no footballing reason to have them whatsoever. It's virtually impossible to have a kit clash with both home and (properly designed) away kits.

How many kits have Spurs got this year? 4
