A medical for an unnamed player has been booked on Friday at the private clinic Spurs use.  It wouldn't be the first time though that a medical was booked and no one turned up.

Does your other sister in law work on the reception there like?

Have you actually predicted a signing correctly yet? Im just curious because Spurs have only signed one player (?) and i cant remember you posting on here at the time even though it was pretty clear he was down in London.

Was your sister in law out the loop that time?

My ITK says we are getting Eto, Deco and Beckham, but then again someone might come in with a bigger offer.

That website is terrible:

Newcastle United rumours

bafetimbi gomis could be priced out of a move to Newcastle as St. Etienne are looking for £18 million for the star forward. amara diane of Paris St. Germain is also a target as he could play on either wing or through the middle and at cost of only £6 million this could be a more likely transfer as the player has publicly stated he would love to play under keegan. in the next few days a £6 million bid will be put forward to Glasgow Rangers for their Spanish centre half Carlos Cuellar. Rangers will be reluctant to sell tho. on the wings a deal for shaun Wright–Phillips is now up in the air after avram grants sacking although keegan is very confident of working again with his former player. arda turan will almost certainly be seen on the toons left wing next year. galatasaray are wanting to hold out until after the finals to push his price up but the Newcastle are moving quickly with a bid which debt ridden gala will struggle to turn down. giles Barnes is also one of two or three young players coming in

Spurs have won the race to sign Richard Dunne.

Manchester City's defender has chosen to link up with this season's Carling Cup winners ahead of similar overtures from Aston Villa and Sunderland.

Dunne, who has just one year left on his contract, was reportedly upset with the club's treatment of Sven Goran Eriksson and has decided to leave.

Juande Ramos has beaten off stiff competition ahead of Martin O'Neill who was looking for a replacement for Juventus-bound Olof Mellberg and the player's former Republic of Ireland colleague Roy Keane. Newcastle, Middlesbrough and West Ham were also keen.

Dunne has become one of the most consistent performers in the Premier League after former Manchester City boss Kevin Keegan suggested he was in danger of wasting his opportunity as he struggled with his weight.

However, he has been voted the player of the season for four successive years at Eastlands and his exit will be a significant blow for Eriksson - or his successor.

Ramos on the other hand, has doubts over Ledley King's long-term fitness and is unsure whether Michael Dawson is a viable partner for Jonathan Woodgate at the heart of the Spaniard's defence.

Richard Dunne is the first big name to head for the Manchester City exit door with the defender on the brink of completing a £5million move to Tottenham.

Spurs have beaten off competition from Aston Villa and Portsmouth to land the City skipper.

Dunne, 28, has already held advanced talks with Tottenham officials and will move to White Hart Lane once he has passed a medical.

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has ear-marked the Republic of Ireland star to add steel to his back-line and form a partnership with Jonathan Woodgate.
