Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Kasper Schmichael to Leeds isn't a bad deal for both groups. Wonder if we'll see Leeds in the Premiership again soon?
Village Idiot
Two ManCity's envoys were spotted yesterday at the Real Madrid offices. Cue wild rumors about what they were talking about (Van Der Vaart, Higuaín and Gago the supposed targets).

City will keep on spending until they get there and will be even tougher to finish above next year.

ponsaelius
Hahahahahahh. If that is true Perez really does need a good fucking slap.
Village Idiot
The way they have been dragging their feet with Higuaín's contract these months it's quite ridiculous. Pérez just doesn't want him.
tmonkey
Would Higuain work in a Mourinho system though? Great finisher, but too lightweight in other areas for the targetman role. On top of that, he has pretty regularly looked poor for Madrid in bigger, more important games - maybe that's because he's still young, but not having real pace in his locker for the type of striker that he is certainly makes life easier for the top class centrebacks. Makes sense they'd get rid for a big fee if it came along.
Village Idiot
Up until April, when Cronaldo hit that streak of form, Higuaín's goals had meant more points for them than the Portuguese's. He was pretty decisive in wins against Valencia and Deportivo, which Madrid have pretty bad record against. He also carried them last season. I agree he's a limited player, but what he does he does it very well and he's still very young.

Schmeichel is ok, but they need an awful lot of (better) players to go up with ease. He kept 20 plus clean sheets. Ok is a bit of an understatement, Premier League clubs were looking at him to be fair mate.
Ashley17
It was in League Two ffs, it's a good achievement to keep 20 clean sheets and he should never have been down there in the first place but it doesn't make him Premiership quality surely. He's a decent acquisition for a newly promoted Championship side, nothing more.
