Wigan must be rofling all the way to the bank.

Thats pretty fair in the current market imo. A one that includes Milner for 12m anyway.

Point taken, my natural assessment though is in more general terms. But yeah, crazy money is commonplace nowadays.

I used to think 12m for Milner was crazy money, but then you look at Raylor play for a while and you start to understand where Villa was coming from.

Not when you consider on their other wing there's a much better player who cost over 2 million less.

Still, the real definition of crazy money remains the 4-5m buys, in which Ashley specialised, who are past their prime and demand to be locked into long term contracts above market rate. Villa will always be able to flog Milner onto the next sucker for a similar fee in a few years. No-ones going to pay us anything for the likes of Geremi, Raylor, Nolan, Smith, Barton or Duff. They're going to cripple us long after we bought them and remain a monumental testament to the fact that if you want to buy cheap players, don't buy them in England.  If you're about to sign a player for less than 10m from England you had probably better just punch Dennis in the mouth and walk away.

Hull apparently agree six million fee for Frazier Campbell.

Seems about £3m OTT.

it does, but he's young and talented, if only we'd spent £6m on a player like that 2 years ago instead of Alan fkin Smith

Man Utd and R.Madrid have bid £16million+ for Antonio Valencia

I really don't see what the fuss is about with him.

He's good but if Everton signed him I wouldn't exactly be jumping for joy so it baffles  me why two of the best sides in the world are fighting over him.
