Mick
The 4-3-3 system we play needs everyone to stick to their roles for it to work, as it did in the first half and as it has for the last 6 weeks. Even Viduka (who doesn't move much) plays his own role well in the system. Once all-action, play-anywhere Smith came on it fell to pieces because he just isn't disciplined enough. I wonder who made the decision to play him in midfield? He wants shot if Keegan wanted a direct replacement for Viduka and he took it upon himself to drop deep. When he came on I felt exactly the same as when I heard the team to play Derby away, I knew we'd lost the game.
Guest Knightrider
Fuck the negatives... Positives: Owen had about 4-5 chances that on another day could have seen him grab a brace. The fact he keeps getting into such positions and the fact we keep creating these good chances even against such a class side as Chelsea, is very positive indeed. Defensively at times we remained very strong against waves of their attacks, Taylor the pick of the bunch. We closed them down well and kept out a lot of crosses, forcing them to go down the middle which although the right way to defend, sadly highlighted for me our key weakness - our own midfield which is immobile, lacks ingenuity and any real outlets. Change that and we're in business I feel because the defence is looking extremely settled, understanding of one another and tough to break down. Outside of that we worked very very hard, kept going, played some good football at times and pushed them hard too. We were simply outclassed in a footballing sense at the end, which I can accept and have no complaints with.

Yorkie
It was quite a comedy moment when me dad told me that Viduka had been subbed (i was having my usual half-time piss at the time). I was like "What? Who the fuck's coming o..... oh. Oh no."
Yorkie
By the way, just a random point, that piece of passing play at the end of the first half (was like in the 42nd minute) would have been our goal of the season if we'd converted from it. It was absolutely outstanding tbh, and i'm not going overboard; the passing and moving was superb - full length of the pitch... from our right-back position to Enrique crossing for Martins at the direct opposite end. Was great to see.

I can't remember seeing him up front too much, I was probably making the mistake of following play.
Tsunami
We played well 1st half, gave away a soft goal & didn't really compete in the 2nd half. Chelski were far from impressive. Referee had blue specs on most of the game. John Terry - shut your mouth you whinging twat.

Was trying (practically pushing him) Carvalho to go down when he was injured and trying to walk off the pitch. Ref's really need to book cunts like Terry and Gerrard who try and hound them and believe they are the ones in charge of the game.
Shearergol
We were poor second half, both individually and as a team. Our shape was cack and we dropped far too deep, giving them the ball back at every opportunity. 2-0 makes it look comfortable for them though, which I don't agree with. We were the better team in the first half, and they had to work hard to get the breakthrough. They deserved to win overall - don't get me wrong - but I think 1-0 would have been a fairer reflection of the way the match went. PS - the referee and linesmen were a disgrace. Absolutely pathetic at times. Our shape was OK until Smith came on but most of our players were guilty of giving the ball away far too easily and it's something we've done all season. Geremi, Butt and Barton are probably the main ones for that but most were guilty today, even Baye who is normally OK. I think Chelsea bullied us today and we couldn't cope. I know it doesn't really matter, but you do it every time you mention him. It's BEYE, not Baye.
Thespence
We batterd them 1st half, they batterd us & scored 2nd half. They are so unsportsman & cheats you start thinking come on Man U.

I've started to pronounce it the way that it's spelled and spell it the way it's pronounced for some reason. Good job it doesn’t matter though because I’m sure it’s not all capitals. Northern Monkey
anyone fancy lighting some torches, going on a mass march through the city and capturing Smith? Then burning him at the stake on the town moor? everyone except the cretins who came on places like this and said he was a decent player. probably the same arseholes who said Barton and Viduka were "class". Northern Monkey
Harper 4 - I believe he's better than some of his movement showed, but poor today overall. Beye 5 - not goodon occasion defensively, which is his actual job. Taylor 7 - good game. no doubt the cretins will score a joureyman higher, either because he isn't a bg black lad, or because they're too scared to admit they were wrong. Best defender, again. Faye 5 - not a good game, anyoe there and watching will have seen him being rived out of position again and again. Enrique 5 - average player, average score? Geremi 3 - shit as (almost) always. Butt 6 - solid, dependable, yadda yadda. Barton - White Trash, little impact. Not good enough for the future, despit the pathetic, predictable fawnigs of the arseholes when he signed. Another journeyman pro. Owen 4 - disappointing. Viduka 3 - meh Martins 6 - occasional spurts, ending in typically shit outcomes. Smith 1 - fuck off. school kids learn how and when to mark. Any of those brave enough to admit they thought he was a good buy should some on and say they were wrong. Duff 4 - fuck all actual outcome, as always from a player 7 years past his best. Journeyman Pro v3. Keegan - 4 - failed to play our two best midfielders. Smith on? o cut cadefend that. If this little fella doesn't sack off Smith, Geremi, et al in summer, he can get to fuck. Messiah? no, just a really good motivator with little current football acumen.
